[SINGAPORE] TVXQ’s U-KNOW Brings His Very First Solo Concert Tour

It has been 15 years since U-KNOW came to Singapore’s shores and this time, he is here for his first-ever solo concert tour, U-KNOW PROJECT 26 : SCENE#1 in SINGAPORE at The Theatre at MediaCorp on August 15, 2026. We have the scoop – read on to find out more!

As the concert hall was bathed in the red glow of lightsticks held aloft by Cassiopeia (the fandom name for both TVXQ and U-KNOW), a young boy took to the stage and sat down on a chair as a montage of U-KNOW’s career timeline performing played behind him. It felt like as though he were looking into the future.

When the montage ended, the boy left the stage, only to be replaced by U-KNOW himself. Dressed in a silver trenchcoat and an LED armband spelling out “Singapore”, he launched straight into Time Machine. The young boy then returned, this time joining the idol onstage for the heavier beats of Drop. U-KNOW then brought us through Follow, Set in Stone and his solo TVXQ tracks: Honey Funny Bunny and a Komplikated + Swing + Jam mashup.

For his inaugural concert tour, U-KNOW’s VCR concept saw him stepping into a series of scenarios inspired by films such as The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Matrix. At one point, he even found himself racing a motorcycle through a virtual world to advance to the next level, or in this case, the next section of the concert. It was a fun way to tie the different segments together, and we really admired how much thought had gone into the production.

Just when Cassiopeia were ready for more, U-KNOW switched gears and slowed things down with heartfelt performances of Need You Right Now, La Rosa, An Ordinary Story, Waterfalls and Spotlight.

Spotlight was particularly moving. The young boy returned once again, this time mirroring U-KNOW’s choreography as if he was a younger version of the idol. Midway through the performance, another montage played, showing U-KNOW’s hopes and dreams as an aspiring idol trainee. From trainee dreams to a solo concert stage in Singapore, he has certainly come a long way.

The tempo picked up again with Tarantino, Why, City Lights and Thank U. For this writer, City Lights was an especially exciting moment as it was the first U-KNOW song she listened to outside of TVXQ. Hearing it live, years later and in an entirely different setting, was certainly a full-circle moment. And U-KNOW was not about to let the energy drop during the encore. 26 Take Off, Hit Me Up and finally, Spotlight 2 brought the concert to its final stretch, with the audience more than ready to keep going.

For an idol of U-KNOW’s calibre, the concert was never simply about showcasing his vocal and performance abilities. He also made time to connect with the fans who have supported him throughout his career. During one of the quieter moments between songs, U-KNOW shared that he had once dreamed of becoming a radio DJ so that he could listen to and read stories from his fans. That dream came to life in its own way when he read a letter from a fan who had recently undergone spine reconstruction surgery. He then serenaded her with Curtain.

The gesture became even more meaningful when U-KNOW revealed that he had personally replied to her letter, with his handwritten response later hand-delivered to her by a member of his staff. 

And the fan service did not stop there.

During the encore, U-KNOW made his way around the theatre, giving fans the chance to see him up close and making sure the entire venue got its moment with him.

After 15 years, Cassiopeia’s unwavering support certainly paid off. From the elaborate VCRs to the moments shared with fans, U-KNOW PROJECT 26 : SCENE#1 in SINGAPORE was a celebration of both the performer U-KNOW has become and the journey that brought him here.
