[SINGAPORE] B.I Hypes Up Crowd At The Capitol Theatre

The one and only B.I returned to Singapore after 1 year and 2 months since his last concert L.O.L The Hidden Stage in Singapore. This time at a much cozier venue at the Capitol Theatre, B.I delivered more than 50 songs over the span of almost three hours at his 2024 TOUR HYPE UP in SINGAPORE, making it a worthwhile time for all IDs.

B.I’s DJ opened the stage with a few mixes before the main act entered nonchalantly with Michelangelo, a track from his To Die For studio album. Donning a simple nude-coloured vest, B.I delivered fiery raps and sweet vocals with tracks like One and Only and Alive.

In between the setlist, B.I injected a few speaking segments to speak to IDs and flaunted his fluent English. While he had to change the channel a couple of times to speak in Korean to fully express himself, his vocabulary has visibly improved leaps and bounds from the last time he visited Singapore.

Although the stage was not something fancy that one will typically expect at concerts, B.I’s dancers complemented his stage presence. Two dancers appeared in between songs to groove along with B.I, and the trio appeared to have a frolicking good time as they became one with the beat. The intimate venue also meant that B.I could get upclose and personal with fans, as he went down the stage a couple of times, snapping photos and exchanging hi-fives.

About an hour into the show, B.I introduced the latest addition and artiste from his label, 131LABEL. Leo, who recently debuted in August last year, took the stage with Pretty Plzzz together with B.I who is featured in the original track. The song is one of the tracks from his debut album Come Closer, and IDs were exhilarated to watch collaboration live on stage.

As B.I took time off to change outfits, Leo continued with his other tracks like Come Closer and Farewell. As he said his final farewells, Leo humbly asked for everyone’s continuous support for his upcoming works. We are excited to see how high Leo is able to rise after seeing the potential in him and wish to see him become a familiar face in the Korean entertainment industry.

B.I changed into a new set of outfit, a blue velvet button-up, and teased fans as he had left the top button open. Intending to beat fatigue with fatigue, the rapper went all out, jumping, dancing and fully immersing himself in the atmosphere. Feeling all hyped and high, IDs were jumping and raving along as well to hits like Flame and Smoke. B.I even teased fans and unbuttoned his top entirely, giving IDs a full view of his tone body and well developed abs.

Before the start of Nineteen, B.I posed a question regarding the age group of IDs present at the venue. He even gave a word of advice to those who were in their teens to enjoy the most beautiful moment of their lives, and jokingly shared that they should have a variety of experiences when they turn legal, like drinking with friends and going to the club. A young fan amongst the crowd probably had the best end of the stick as B.I went to her personally to pat her head and wave her Binbong. During the encore, he even wrapped his slogan around her neck. It was heartwarming to see B.I showing his soft side, as the young fan had probably reminded him of his biological younger sister.

Although B.I was suffering from an ankle injury, it did not stop him from delivering his best performance. IDs reciprocated their appreciation with a fanmade video and sang along to 4 letters, as B.I once shared that he enjoyed listening to IDs sing. The original song talks about the impermanence of love, however, the video ended saying that 4 letters to IDs mean ID❤️B.I and that their love for B.I is forever.

We would like to wish B.I a speedy recovery for his ankle injury, and also thank Three Angles Production for the invite.
