Multi-hyphenate South Korean soloist WOODZ aka Cho Seung-youn made his long-awaited return to Malaysia after 3 long years! The fans have been yearning for his return since his last visit back in 2023, and now he has finally returned as part of the <Archive. 1> World Tour, held at Zepp Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

WOODZ wasted no time kicking the show into high gear, opening with Bloodline before launching into the rock-heavy tracks Downtown and Dirt on My Leather. As it had been three years since his last visit, he encouraged fans to have fun together throughout the night.
Backed with a live band, WOODZ continued the momentum with a performance of NA NA NA, Dayfly and Love Me Harder which featured an arrangement made specifically for this concert. He then shifted the mood by performing Glass, I’ll Never Love Again, his viral hit Drowning as well as CINEMA, showcasing his wide range of ballads. He shared that this section was meant to portray the emotions of going through a breakup, and hoped fans enjoyed it.

WOODZ then showcased a different side of himself with a more laid-back set, performing Different, Plastic, and NOID. He later shifted the mood once again with the hip-hop-infused 00:30, instantly re-energising the crowd in the venue. The night continued with a surprise cover performance of Sempurna, a track by Malaysian band Insomniacks. According to WOODZ, he spent two weeks preparing for the performance, and it showed through his fluent Malay pronunciation while singing the track, leaving the crowd in awe.

WOODZ then performed To My January, and hearing the fans sing along to the chorus left him emotional, marking it as one of his favourite moments of the night. He later returned to his signature rock-heavy sound with The Spark, Amnesia, Busted, and Human Extinction, a run of hard-hitting tracks that kept the energy at its peak before closing the main set with Smashing Concrete and Who Knows.
One of the night’s standout moments came when fans repeatedly asked to sing along to tracks such as CINEMA, To My January, Drowning, Human Extinction, and even Sempurna, much to WOODZ’s amazement. At one point, he jokingly “gave up” and pointed his microphone to the crowd, which led to them singing the entire last chorus of Drowning. He even complimented the audience by saying that they sang so well.

WOODZ took no time to return for an encore performance as he sang STOP THAT, I HATE YOU and BUMP BUMP. He then took some time to say several Malay phrases like “Sayang, hari ini memang best!” (my love, today’s the best!) and “Korang sangat cantik’’ (You all look very very beautiful) while making eye contact with the fans, causing a frenzy.
WOODZ noted how he got sick during his last visit in 2023 and promised to not get sick for his eventual return here. Safe to say, he kept his word and performed with such ease and full of charisma.
As he thanked the fans for the endless support and promised to make his return to Malaysia, he ended the night on an all time high with Stray.

With an impressive 26-song set, WOODZ continued to leave us in awe with his showmanship and versatility. This night will be kept in the archive of Malaysian MOODZ’s memories for a while. We wish him all the best and look forward to his return to the Malaysian shores.
