[MALAYSIA] MONSTA X Knock The Stage For Malaysian MONBEBEs

Malaysian MONBEBEs was finally up for a treat as MONSTA X finally shone on the stage of Malawati Indoor stadium in Kuala Lumpur for their very own solo concert, WE ARE HERE World Tour on the night of 22nd June 2019. It was unfortunate that their lead vocalist, Won Ho, was unable to join the concert due to his passport issue. Nevertheless, the remaining members, Shownu, Min Hyuk, Ki Hyun, Hyung Won, Joo Heon and I.M made up his absence with energizing performance and even promised MONBEBE to return in Malaysia again as seven members.

Gearing up the crowd.

As expected, one could never sit when it’s MONSTA X performing! Serving the stage as six members, MONSTA X started their concert with hit song “Shoot Out”, followed by the legendary “HERO” and “Trespass”. The boys danced and sang powerfully to each song, while MONBEBE sang along and went wild inside the venue. Realizing that it’s the second time MONSTA X were in town after the last Malaysia’s KWAVE joint concert, the boys expressed in their ment that they were grateful for the never-ending support they received from Malaysian MONBEBE. To add, Shownu also humbly apologized for Won Ho’s absence and promised to entertain MONBEBE with 2 times energy.

Keeping up with their promise, the boys continued the show with some funky slow jams which are “Party Time”, “Play it cool”, “MOHAE” and “JEALOUSY”, showcasing their both playful and sexy sides to MONBEBE.

MONSTA X also proved their ability as an entertainer when they performed in their specialized unit, which enhanced each of the member true charms. The first unit which consisted of Hyung Won, Min Hyuk and Ki Hyun went up the stage and made MONBEBE screamed when they performed “MYSELF” by BAZZI, swaying the fans with their sexy choreography and powerful vocal.

Up next, the rap line which consisted of Joo Heon and I.M, continued to rile up the crowd by performing “SAMBA”, living up their name as MONSTA X’s powerful rap duo. The performance was equipped with Joo Heon’s solo stage as a drummer and I.M’s strong rap.

Even though Shownu was unable to perform his unit performance as his partner Won Ho was not available, MONSTA X continued to shower MONBEBEs with their fan-service and countless crowd engagement. Hyung Won also promised that they will made up to the fans by performing 5 times better and sexier, on MONSTA X next concert in Malaysia.

Following the unit performance, MONSTA X being the heartthrob they are, continued the stage by expressing their appreciation towards MONBEBE with their sweetest and catchy tracks, “HONESTLY”, “NEOL HADA”, “SWEETHEART” and “NO REASON”. Soon after the sweetness consumed, MONSTA X left fans bewildered with their “Seven Deadly Sins” VCR, and started to blast the crowd with the throbbing “Myself” and “DRAMARAMA”. The show continued with “OH MY!”, “SPECIAL”, “FALLIN’” and lastly, their latest hit track which is “ALLIGATOR”. The whole performance was done with high vitality, showing their true powerful image as MONSTA X.

Going in for a roller coaster ride, MONSTA X encored the stage with the appearance of DJ H.ONE a.k.a Hyung Won, who singlehandedly boosted up the crowd with his amazing DJ skills! Even though few technical problems had risen midway through his performance, Malaysian MONBEBE continued to hype up the show by chanting his name.

Up next, MONSTA X finally ended their encore with the heart pumping “RODEO” and their sweetest fan song for MONBEBE, “BY MY SIDE”. During “RODEO”, Malaysian MONBEBE took this chance to celebrate Shownu’s birthday with their birthday banner event project. Shownu expressed his gratitude towards MONBEBE later in his ending speech.

Enthralling experience.

The whole performance on that night was equipped with blazing LED displays, explosion, chasing lights, and pyrotechnics, creating a breath-taking experience for the audience in the stadium. The concert had also screened some special VCR in which the boys stepping up their game as charismatic actors and entertainers. This creative effort had resulted in MONBEBE to be enthralled with MONSTA X and created a personal bond between the audience and the boys.

MONSTA X, being the true entertainer they are never failed to hype up the crowd as they interacted along with the fans throughout their show and performance, showing off the true chemistry they had with their MONBEBE regardless the nationality differences. They even asked if MONBEBE was satisfied with their performance, and promised to show an even better performance in the future. Their genuine effort was also shown when the members tried to interact with their audience in English language, even though they were provided with a translator on the field.

Music wise, MONSTA X proved their diversity by delivering different genres of music while staying true to their color. The genres of their track ranges from hip hop, rock, R&B, EDM and ballad, highlighting on their versatility and ability as a well-rounded performer. Their excellence in engaging together with the crowd and fan-service was all in impactful, making it seemed like the show had ended a little too fast instead of long dreading hours.

Never ending promises.

Closing their stage, towards the end of their ment MONSTA X promised again and again to Malaysian MONBEBE that they will definitely come back to Kuala Lumpur in the future. Ki Hyun personally voiced that he was regretful that Won Ho could not attend the concert and sincerely apologized to MONBEBEs who has spent their time, money and passion just to witness them on stage. Their heartfelt speech had touched the heart of the audience, turning it to a personal and emotional ending session. Finally, MONSTA X ended their show by bowing down together on stage as their sign of gratitude towards their fans, resulting in the brightest smile on the audience faces.
