[INTERVIEW] MXM Unveils Personal Favourite Fashion Styles, Must Have Items For Overseas Schedules & More

MXM, popular duo from Brand New Music comprising of members Im Young Min & Kim Dong Hyun are currently on a mini Asia fan-meeting tour to meet their fans up-close and personal to promote their newest double single ‘REMATCH’! The Seoul Story had a little chat with the boys where they talked more about music, their desired CFs and many more interesting little facts about the two of them!

Q: Hello MXM! Could you tell us which song releases so far are your favourite? 

Youngmin: Gone Cold
Donghyun: Gone Cold

Q: What kind of concept(s) would you like to try next?
Youngmin: I’d like to try a fierce, rough, hip-hop style
Donghyun: A light colored hair… lighter than before….

Q: What are some of your must have items in your bag when attending overseas schedules?
Youngmin: A bluetooth speaker
Donghyun: Snacks & cash

Q: What is your personal favourite fashion style?
Youngmin: For me, it is comfortable street-style fashion
Donghyun: Dandy, neat fashion style

Q: If you could film a CF of your choice, what would it be and why?
Youngmin: Coffee! I think coffee commercials are quite classy
Donghyun: Ramen & Chicken! I think I am really good at eating in front of the camera

Q: What do you think sets MXM apart from other groups?
Youngmin: Firstly, we are a duo which is quite rare in the K-pop scene. Also because we are a duo, our different styles are well portrayed on camera and we tend to match them together very well like ‘Mix and Match’

Q: Aside from making music, are there any other areas you’d like to try?
Youngmin: I really want to try being an emcee for music shows on television!
Donghyun: I would like to try acting!

Q: If you could describe MXM in three words, what would it be?
Youngmin: Popcorn (Variety of tastes), Americano (Easy to-go taste) & Pho (Just can’t get enough)
Donghyun: Fresh, Chic & Cool!

Q: What are your thoughts on your popularity overseas & any messages to your fans?
Youngmin: We are so thankful that our fans are cheering for us so far away from where we live. We really appreciate all of your support!
Donghyun: Like Youngmin said, we can’t thank you guys enough!
