[INDONESIA] MY DAYS WANT ‘NOTHING BUT’ YOUNG K AT ‘LETTERS WITH NOTES’ IN JAKARTA

Young K made us love him even more after <Letters with notes>, his first solo concert in Jakarta at The Kasablanka Hall on October 28, 2023. Let’s recall our favorite moments from the concert last week!

The multi-talented musician, Young K is a member of JYP Entertainment’s boy band, DAY6. He made his debut as a soloist before he enlisted and recently made a comeback with the full album Letters with notes, which he had named his first series of solo concerts in Asia after.

First-class Vocal Performances

After four years of waiting, it’s safe to say My Days spent a worthwhile night with Young K. Starting off the concert with waited, the fans were blessed with their idol’s vocal performance from the very first note. The beautiful opening was followed by toe-tapping performances of best song, Time of Our Life by DAY6, and playground.

Not only did he manage to show off his incredible vocal range with his own songs, Young K also sang his collaboration song with PARKMOONCHI, What a wonderful world, and his recent feature song Maybe Next Time with Jamie Miller. He then continued with his hits, Microphone and SOUL that had the crowd further in awe.

A Fun Young One Jam Session

Much to the delight of My Days and other concert goers alike, Young K incorporated some of his YouTube covers from his Young One projects in the setlist. Marking the beginning of the this session, Young K sat down to ask the fans to pick which fan favorite covers they wanted to listen to. Ultimately, he ended up performing with nothing by Bruno Major, Reality by Richard Sanderson, and Coldplay‘s Viva la Vida.

Even after three full songs, My Days still wanted more and the roaring chants of “encore” were difficult to ignore. Young K was happy to grant their wishes, immediately singing Jason Mraz‘s I’m Yours and a surprise cover of an Indonesian song Anugerah Terindah yang Pernah Kumiliki by Sheila on 7 that made the crowd go crazy. After finishing his final performance of the section, Young K confessed that My Days are like the greatest gift that he’s ever received, just like the literal meaning of the song. Such a sweet man!

Rise and Fall in A Crying Session

He didn’t just show us unbeatable vocal performances; Young K also made us rise and fall with his vulnerability as the setlist finally reached the crying session. After the Young One jamming session, Young K started the crying session with his tearjerker tracks, wait to.. and want to love you. The peak moment was when he asked to turn down the lights and sang his beautiful lullaby, goodnight, dear.

The Bittersweet Encore

With almost no time for fans to collect themselves and wipe away their tears, Young K continued the concert with energetic stages of Bungee Jumping, natural, and STRANGE featuring My Days’ chants. During the conversation with the fans, he said that the crowd was really loud and thanked them for their enthusiasm.

As the concert started to near its end, he took his guitar for performances of Guard You and his title song from the recent album nothing but, followed by Dreamer. The atmosphere was at an all-time high and through the vibrations, everyone could feel the excitement of the last few songs.

Before the encore, Indonesian My Days gave Young K a surprise fan project. He said he felt touched, thanking them for waiting for him and giving him the opportunity to come to Indonesia.

Even though it was bittersweet, Young K greeted the fans below the stage and sang the last song for the concert, let it be summer and successfully wrapped up <Letters with notes> in Jakarta. We will be patiently waiting him to comeback to Indonesia as soon as possible!
