[INDONESIA] ITZY’s Charms Took Center Stage at ITZY THE FIRST WORLD TOUR CHECKMATE IN JAKARTA

ITZY gave the fans everything they wanted and more in their long-awaited return to Indonesia for ITZY THE FIRST WORLD TOUR <CHECKMATE> IN JAKARTA at Tennis Indoor Senayan on February 4, 2023.

A Mixture of Strength and Youth


Starting the concert elegantly dressed in all white, ITZY powerfully performed their opening song In The Morning which was accompanied by a rousing welcome from their fans, MIDZY. The members then continued with the rest of their opening, skillfully dancing to Sorry Not Sorry. As they wore their crowns, ITZY gracefully greeted and danced with their fans during performances of SHOOT and What I Want.

Even after their strong opening, ITZY did not forget their trademark confidence, loudly proclaiming “They keep talking, I keep walking” during their performance of ICY. It was then followed up by a sing along from MIDZY as ITZY performed CHERRY, Free Fall and Twenty, revealing their youthful energy.

The Known and Unknown Sides of the Members


The girls took the opportunity to showcase their solo stages, wowing the crowd as they revealed their individual charms.

Ryujin kicked off the solo stages with her cover of Doja Cat’s song, Boss B*tch. She showed off her cool charms, rapping energetically as the rest of the audience followed along with her flow. Yuna‘s solo performance was a breath of fresh air as she entered the stage on a bicycle before dancing cutely to Maniac by Conan Gray. Lia‘s stage was next, reminding everyone of her beautiful and unique vocals with her passionate cover of Red by Taylor Swift, which was met with many cheers from the crowd. Chaeryeong showed off her dance skills through a sexy yet powerful performance of Ariana Grande’s song, Bloodline. Lastly, Yeji did not disappoint as she appeared and brought the heat with the song Hotter Than Hell by Dua Lipa.

Despite the amazing solos, ITZY returned to the stage in between the individual stages to remind their fans how even more magical they are together. They broke the stage dancing to one of their hit songs, WANNABE, which was accompanied by a loud fanchant. They also performed their popular debut song, DALLA DALLA, with a renewed energy followed by more recent title tracks, SNEAKERS and Cheshire. A tireless ITZY seemed like they did not want the night to end as the members performed WANT IT and Nobody Like You. They also went all out, showing impressive dance moves through LOCO followed by Not Shy.


Unforgettable Night with MIDZY


Walking to different sides of the stage to greet fans closely, each member conveyed their feelings of gratitude as they performed DOMINO and Trust Me (MIDZY) with angelic and soothing vocals. Nearing the end of the concert, the girls thanked their fans who had been waiting for them to come back to Indonesia and celebrate their 4th anniversary together.

As a gift from the fans, a video made by Indonesian MIDZY was shown on the screen that included messages of encouragement for each member. The members comforted crying Lia who felt touched and surprised when the fans shouted “Saranghae! Saranghae!” nonstop after the video ended. The girls told the crowd that they received a lot of energy and that they were also very grateful for the support given by MIDZY, hoping to come back here again in the future. ITZY ended the night with a performance of Boys Like You, leaving the stage with bittersweet goodbye to signal the end of their concert.
