[INDONESIA] Hot, Cool, and Fun Side of The Boyz at [The Castle] Fan-Con in Jakarta

After debuting in 2017, The Boyz has finally kicked off their very first Asian Fan-Con tour! The group visited Jakarta as their third stop on the tour and had a short meeting with Indonesian The Bs at Balai Sarbini, Jakarta. The Fan-Con was held on Saturday afternoon, 22 June 2019. The enthusiasm from The Bs could be seen as they lined up very early at the venue with complete attributes before the concert started.

The ‘Hot’ Boys

One thing that stood out the most during The Boyz Fan-Con is definitely the hotness that came from The Boyz’s and The Bs’s energies during the show. Even from the start, The Bs already showed their strong energy while doing fan-chants to their opening songs, ‘Boy’ and ‘Right Here’. Adding hotness to the venue, The Boyz did a dance break while burning the stage with a remix version of ‘No Air’ in perfect sync, continued by another energetic performance of ‘Get It’. The energy continued to light up until the end of the Fan-con and showed how strong the bond is between The Boyz and The Bs when creating an exciting stage.

The ‘Cool’ Boys

The Boyz showed their cool side by showing performances of two famous songs that are so different from each other, ‘EXO – Call Me Baby’ and ‘TWICE – Cheer Up’. After nailing both songs in a different way, they continued to show their coolness by performing ‘Bloom Bloom’, ‘Only One’, ‘Text Me Back’, and ‘I’m Your Boy’. Each songs have different mood to it, but The Boyz successfully delivered all and left the fans in awe.

The ‘Fun’ Boys

During the break, they played a short and cute VCR showing The Boyz doing a parody of famous Korean drama, “Sky Castle”. The Boyz acted as “Sky Castle” characters and delivered great acting skills. However, in reality, they thought that it was very cringey and awkward. Either way, they delivered funny videos that fans can enjoy while they prepared for the next stage.

They also played games such as Guessing The Song and the famous Whisper Challenge. They were divided into three teams, Deo Team, Bi Team, and Jjang Team. Deo Team comprised of Juhaknyeon, Juyeon, Eric, and Q. Bi Team were Jacob, Hwall, Kevin, and Sangyeon. Lastly, Jjang Team were made up of Younghoon, New, Hyunjae, and Sunwoo. Deo Team successfully won the first round while Jjang Team won the second round. Their crazy and funny side could be seen the most during this segment and fans couldn’t help but scream upon seeing their cuteness. They ended the short games by singing a famous Indonesian song, ‘Rizky Febian – Cukup Tahu’ together with The Bs at the venue.

They also bragged off about learning Bahasa and being able to say some famous Indonesian slangs. The words they mentioned were mostly food like ‘Satay’, ‘Mee Goreng’, and ‘Nasi Goreng’ that made the fans laughed. They also said the word ‘Sheyeng’ which is a slang word for Sayang (Honey) and made the whole venue sway with their charms.

The ‘Loving’ Boys

Before the show ended, they showed a video from Indonesian fans saying their greetings and wishes to The Boyz in front of famous places around Indonesia. The video was very touching and some of the boys could be seen holding their tears. Eric admitted that the video made him want to cry as he was very touched to receive such support from Indonesian fans. The Boyz also talked about how thankful they are for The Bs and how meaningful their visit to Jakarta was. They promised to come back here again and closed the afternoon with a sweet performance of ‘Clover’.
