[INDONESIA] Exciting Festival with Super Line-up at Super K-pop Festival 2019 Day 1

It was an unforgettable night for Indonesian K-pop fans as seven artists performed at Super K-pop Festival Indonesia 2019 Day 1.

LOVE, Pink Panda, Ha:Neul, Young One, Reveluv, and ELF gathered at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City to be a witness of the anticipated K-pop concert. The Super K-pop Festival Indonesia 2019 was held over two days on 28-29 September 2019. Here is our recap from the Day 1 concert.

NU’EST

The concert started with a performance from NU’EST. JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren kicked off the concert with ‘Bet Bet’. Their moves became more energetic as LOVEs fan-chants became louder.

They continued their performance with their latest song ‘Segno’ as the second song. The boys then greeted the fans and thanked fans who had come to see them. Unfortunately, NU’EST had to ended their stage that night with third song ‘Love Paint’. After that, NU’EST bowed and bid farewell to the fans.

A-Pink

Pink Pandas cheered loudly as the VCR showed A-Pink as the next artist to perform. Chorong, Bomi, Eunji, Naeun, Namjoo, and Hayoung captivated the crowd with their synchronized dance moves on ‘Eung Eung’.

The fan chants got louder as the girls performed the second song, ‘I’m So Sick’. During the talking segment, Chorong thanked Pandas who had waited for them to perform in Indonesia and apologized for the short setlist as they had to catch a flight to go back to Korea that night.

After finished the stage with ‘Alright’, the girls waved to the fans. Chorong, Eunji, and Naeun also gave finger hearts to the crowd. We hope to see you again really soon with more exciting performance, girls!

Ha Sungwoon

This was Sungwoon’s second time to meet Indonesian Ha:neuls after his fan meeting in Jakarta last June. The former Wanna One member opened up his stage with ‘Bird’. He danced passionately and stunned the fans with his amazing vocals. He then continued the concert with more exciting songs such as ‘Tell Me I Love You’, ‘Don’t Forget’, and ‘Blue Maze’.


He ended his stage with ‘What Are You Doing Today?’. We are sure that Ha:neuls were amazed by the amazing performances by Sungwoon that night!

Tiffany Young

It has been a long time since Indonesian SONEs and Young Ones met Tiffany. The member of Girls’ Generation opened up her stage with her debut solo song ‘I Just Wanna Dance’. She slayed the stage with her stable vocals and stunning dance. A diva indeed!

She continued the performance with a remix of ‘I Just Wanna Dance’ and Rihanna’s hit song, ‘Please Don’t Stop The Music’. The crowd went wild as Tiffany graced the stage to greet the fans closely while singing ‘Over My Skin’ and ‘Heartbreak Hotel’.

“Thank you for being here and spending time with me,” said Tiffany during the ment. She said she was really touched by a loud cheers from the fans. She then continued the performance with a remix of ‘Runaway’ and Shawn Mendes’ ‘In My Blood’.

Before her last song ‘Magnetic Moon’, Tiffany once again greeted the fans around with her cute eye-smile and exchanged finger hearts with fans. Don’t forget to come back here again Tiffany!

Red Velvet

Korea’s Summer Queens started their stage with the cheerful song, ‘Red Flavor’. Irene, Wendy, Joy, Seulgi, and Yeri sang and dance cheerfully and the fan chants got louder.

Summer vibes from the girls continued as they sang ‘Power Up’ as the next song. That night, Red Velvet not only sang bubbly songs but also a slow-beat song like ‘With You’ and ‘Ladies Night’.

“It’s already the fourth song but we want to sing more songs. Reveluvs can you guess what is the next song?” Seulgi asked. The familiar catchy intro “it’s ‘Zimzalabim’” then followed! The girls then ended their stage with their latest release ‘Umpah Umpah’. After the last song ended, they bid farewell with a polite bow. “See you tomorrow!” Wendy shouted.

Kyuhyun

The stage lighting dimmed, a soft piano played. Kyuhyun started off with a ballad ‘A Million Pieces’. His sweet vocals chilled the crowd as the fans sang together with him.

He then continued with his latest release, ‘Aewol ri’. During the talking segment, Kyuhyun greeted Indonesian fans for the first time after his military duty ended last May. He also apologized if his ballad song was out of place at a festival-themed concert. Fans said “gwaenchana!” (it’s okay!) loudly and Kyuhyun smiled softly.

Kyuhyun stage continued with another latest single, ‘Time With You’. To boost the mood, he continued with a more cheerful song from his debut mini-album, ‘Flying Deep in The Night’. He graced the stage to greet fans and did a cute dance while singing along the song. He ended his stage with ‘At Gwanghwamun’ and let fans sang along with him.

Super Junior D&E

Donghae and Eunhyuk heated the stage with their latest song ‘Danger’. The crowd went wild as the duo unit from Super Junior danced energetically at the main stage. Then they did a short talk segment to greet ELFs and asked fans to get ready for their next performance, ‘Growing Pains’.

The second song ended and the duo greeted fans again and talked about their preparation for Super Junior‘s comeback in October. Donghae even gave the spoiler that Super Junior will come back again soon to Indonesia with Super Show 8! ELFs get ready!

The concert then continued with the Korean version of ‘Sunrise’. Fan-chants became louder as Donghae gave hint for the next song. “I say Donghae, you say Oppa!” teased him. The fans went wild knowing the next song is one of the most anticipated performances from Super Junior D&E, ‘Oppa Oppa!’

Kyuhyun made a surprise appearance near the end of ‘Oppa Oppa!’ performance. The youngest member of Super Junior jumped along with Donghae and Eunhyuk as they waved goodbye to the fans. With that playful performance, the Super K-pop Festival Day 1 ended.
