[MALAYSIA] TREASURE AND MALAYSIAN TEUMES HEALED IN KUALA LUMPUR

A year after their first visit, TREASURE, YG Entertainment’s shining diamond, finally returned to Malaysia for the second time, fulfilling their promise to fans. Those moments shared between TREASURE and Teumes (fandom name) made the stage come alive and truly memorable, as everyone enjoyed the entire performance to the fullest!

Following the concept of ‘REBOOT’, Malaysian Teumes, known for their stylish outfits, adhered to the concert’s black and red dress code, filling the venue with these colors. As soon as TREASURE’s music videos started playing on the screen, Teumes enthusiastically sang along, testing their vocal skills and their voices doubled the excitement. When TREASURE finally appeared, dressed in red prince outfits and exuding prince-like visuals, they were seen fully prepared to rock the stage!

KING KONG FIRST STAGE IN ASIA

The concert began with BONA BONA, followed by incredible live vocals and a top-notch stage presence of JIKJIN and BOY! They left the stage for a moment and surprised us with a spectacular performance of their new title track, KING KONG marking its first concert stage in Asia! The crowd erupted in cheers when TREASURE asked if we liked their latest comeback song, which many Teumes claimed as one of their best tracks! The excitement then soared with HELLO and STUPID as the members moved closer to the extended stage, interacting with and adoring their fans.

While preparing for the unit stage, Hyunsuk, Yoshi, Asahi, Haruto and Jeongwoo prepared a section by inviting the crowd to sing along with Yoshi’s self-composed song, STUPID. The crowd enthusiastically joined in, creating a beautiful and memorable chorus. The members expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the fans for loving their songs unconditionally.

ALL ROUNDER IDOLS

Known for their versatility, TREASURE has now formed a subunit group called T5, consisting of Jihoon, Junkyu, Jaehyuk, Doyoung and Junghwan. They mesmerized us with their sexy dance choreography and new arrangement of MOVE. Following this, Asahi and Haruto took the stage with their anime-like song THANK YOU. During the climactic moment, Asahi delighted the crowd by saying, “Kuala Lumpur, I Love You!” instead of the previous year’s “Malaysia, make some noise!”. This personal touch made TREASURE’s bond with the Malaysian Teumes feel even closer and more special.

The charisma did not stop there as the rap line, Hyunsuk, Yoshi and Haruto or known as HyunHaYo rocked the stage with their head-banging tracks G.O.A.T and VolkNo! TREASURE’s concert setlist was off the charts, with all the members reappearing on the extended stage for MMM. Not slacking a bit on their performance, coupled with bursts of flames, made the atmosphere intensely hot and thrilling, capturing the crowd’s excitement and energy.

PURPLE SKY SPECIAL FOR YOU

The evening continued with TREASURE’s vocal trinity, Jihoon, Junkyu and Jeongwoo with their first sub-unit song THE WAY TO which the song is about a hope, dreams and the journey of achieving one’s goals. 

Appearing in white outfit for this year’s tour, TREASURE perfectly matched the mood of ORANGE and HOLD IT IN. It’s remarkable how just one year has transformed their visuals, making them appear more mature and manly. They have truly grown alongside Teumes. 

During this time, it’s Teumes turn to surprise TREASURE with their purple light fan project specifically for Hyunsuk, the beloved leader. HOLD IT IN was composed by him, and the fans wanted to show their support and love, appreciating his contributions to the group and encouraging him to stay proud of himself despite any challenges ahead. Hyunsuk noticed the sea of purple lights, smiling and bowing to the crowd during his part, deeply moved and appreciative of the purple sky created for him.

Without a moment to spare, TREASURE swiftly transitioned to their next stage in new outfits, delivering a series of performances. They delighted the audience with hits like WONDERLAND, B.O.M.B, I WANT YOUR LOVE and I LOVE YOU blending side-tracks from the REBOOT album and the title track of THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER TWO.

ALWAYS, A SHOULDER TO LEAN ON

The boys are back to the stage excitedly after being called by Teumes with a SLOWMOTION encore song and they began the much-awaited RUN, GOING CRAZY and DARARI (remix) stage! Each member then took a moment for a short ment. One of the most touching moments came when Jihoon, the group’s leader, fondly recalled his birthday celebration in Kuala Lumpur last year, expressing his joy at reuniting with Malaysian Teumes. He even spontaneously sang a chorus from the encore song, revealing how much he missed performing it. Hyunsuk, in his expected manner, expressed gratitude once again for the fan project and assured fans that they would continue shining together.

Each member also expressed their happiness seeing fans enjoying their performances. They charmed Teumes with praises and Malay phrases like “Aku cinta kamu” (I love you), “Cantiknya” (so pretty), and “Mantap” (the best!), before continuing with the encore featuring MY TREASURE and CLAP!

Not wanting to leave on a somber note, TREASURE surprised Malaysian Teumes with a double encore, fulfilling everyone’s long-awaited wish since the previous year. Hyunsuk teased and pumped up the crowd backstage before reappearing, igniting the audience’s energy. The entire crowd stood and waved their lightsticks enthusiastically during B.L.T (BLING LIKE THIS) and the second performance of I WANT YOUR LOVE.

As the concert drew to a close with heartfelt goodbyes, everyone left satisfied. TREASURE’s popularity in Malaysia was evident, with the hashtag #REBOOTinKL amassed nearly 100k posts on social media, and fans continued to reminisce about the night. The hope now is for the boys to return for perhaps a two-day concert in the near future!
