[INDONESIA] Unstoppable Energy During Stray Kids Maniac Live In Jakarta

Bringing back the remarkable moments from Stray Kids Maniac Live in Jakarta which took place on Sunday, November 13, 2022, here is a recap of the unforgettable concert by Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N!

Energetic Stage Performances

Despite the gloomy weather at Beach City International Stadium, Jakarta it certainly did not dampen STAYs’ enthusiasm to meet Stray Kids after three years of break due to the pandemic.

The concert started at 6.30PM local time, with fans screaming hysterically when the round-shaped LED screen was lifted, showing Stray Kids on stage. After a thrilling opening, Maniac became the first song performed much to the anticipation of the crowd.

STAYs, who had been looking forward to Stray Kids’ performances, echoed the fan chants in unison, so much so until the venue rumbled, showing just how enthusiastic the fans were. The boys then added even more energy through Venom.

The concert then continued with Red Light by OT8 despite originally being a unit song. Stray Kids also lighted up the stage with their hit songs District 9, God’s Menu, Hellevator, and Case 143 which was performed for the first time in Indonesia.

Solo Stages Full of Surprises 

It was soon time for each member to shine! The solo stage series started with Hyunjin performing Ice Cream, one of the songs from their SKZ-Player project. Their multi-talented youngest member I.N then performed a cover of Richard Sanderson’s song, Reality, which was then continued with Changbin showing his rap skills with Streetlight.

Bang Chan, Lee Know, Seungmin, and I.N then went on stage singing a ballad track Waiting for Us. It was a sweet escape as the atmosphere became more relaxed with fans waving their light sticks along.

Bang Chan then gave a surprise by appearing solo, singing the Indonesian song Dekat di Hati, originally sung by Indonesian band, RAN. Indonesian STAYs immediately joined in, singing along creating a goosebump inducing moment as they showed their support for Bang Chan.

Three Hours of Energetic Concert 

Time flies really fast when you are having fun! The concert went on full blast with as many as 30 songs performed within three hours of show time. Fam, Miroh, and Star Lost accompanied the fans during encore while the boys scattered around to greet as many fans as possible.

“Today was so fun. I had so much fun today, and for sure the members had so much fun too. It feels really good to be on stage to experience all of this. Chances are very rare for this to happen. So I will always be grateful for it, myself will be very grateful for it, really grateful that all of you are here today with us,” said Bang Chan.

Changbin also gave a few words and expressed how touched he felt that despite the language barrier, STAYs managed to sing along to their songs in Korean.

He shared, “I’m touched when STAYs sing along moreover it’s in Korean and the passion to love Kpop is amazing!”

Bang Chan also shared that they will be back soon and asked fans to wait for them. As their official closing performance, Stray Kids performed Haven to end off the night on a good note.
