This year, SHINE NOW Youth Unconference will be taking place online on November 28 and 29. The event is brought to you by Gushcloud Entertainment and the National Youth Council. A star-studded event awaits youths on both days. Epik High’s Tablo and “Uncle Roger”, otherwise known as Nigel Ng, will be sharing their experiences in various situations.

COVID-19 brought about with it uncertainties and worries. Youths are likely to be affected and are asking themselves if they are able to take on the world in the midst of a pandemic. The upcoming two-day “Unconference” aims to prepare the youth and better equip them with skills and know-hows in order to navigate their way through a post-COVID-19 era.

SHINE NOW had a successful start last year, where event-goers were able to get up-close and personal with their role models. K-pop soloist Jamie Park captured the attention of fans as the event’s headliner. Popular content creator Nas Daily and entrepreneur Rachel Lim of Love, Bonito attracted a crowd as well. The keynote sessions, workshops and panel talks were all held within two days, giving insights to youths who are interested in upskilling themselves.

A brand new line-up awaits fans at the upcoming event. Tablo of Epik High will be one of the headliners of the event. He will be reliving and sharing about his experience in the entertainment industry. Those who are attending can expect advice and insights from the man himself, albeit virtually.

Malaysian-born comedian Nigel Ng, otherwise known as “Uncle Roger”, will be another headliner to look forward to as well.  

“It’s heartening for me to reach out to young people from the region that I grew up in, of whom a lot of them would have faced similar issues and concerns growing up. This is where I came from, so it seems fitting that I’ll be sharing such intimate insights with people that mean a lot to me.”
