Kim Young Dae gained recognition after starring in Extraordinary You in 2019. The actor won Netizen Awards at the 2020 KBS Drama Awards for his appearance in Cheat On Me, If You Can. His role as Joo Seok Hoon in The Penthouse: War in Life granted him the Best New Actor Award at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards. Later on, he landed his first lead role in 2022 for the drama series, Shooting Star.
