The Changwon K-Pop World Festival (Singapore Preliminary) will be returning to Singapore this year on 28th June at Victoria Theatre!
CHANGFE, formerly acronym as KWF is the world’s largest global K-Pop competition spanning across all 7 continent. Shortlisted preliminary finalists will be invited to Korea on a 2-weeks all-expense paid program where they will experience an array of Korean cultural activities and be trained in preparation by Korean industry experts to perform on the same stage as world renown idols for the grand finals in Changwon!
Back in 2017, Singapore’s very own Akif Halqi was crowned ‘Top Vocalist’ at the festival in Changwon, on top of being the nation’s first grand finalist for the particular event.

To welcome more participants into the competition, the auditions are now open to any who works/study and reside in Singapore, excluding tourists and those of Korean descent. Interested applicants with only one parent who has Korean citizenship are eligible to join.
Interested applicants may compete under two categories – vocal and dance performance. Selected participants will then be invited to battle it out on stage at the Singapore Preliminary, where the top two acts (from both categories combined) will move on to participate in the next round against their international counterparts.
All performance groups will be required to lip-sync to their performance songs during their live performances. While there is no restriction on the number of members for performance groups, it is strongly recommended that they have the same number of members as the original K-Pop group of their chosen performance songs.
There is no limit to the number of vocalists per act for the vocal category, however, KBS reserves the right to remove any vocalist from the subsequent rounds if they are deemed to not be of significant contribution to the team. Vocal acts are now given the option to add on up to 2 additional backup dancers to spice up their stage performance.
Interested applications may submit their audition video for consideration via the online registration form on the official website from now till 5th June 2019.
