[SINGAPORE] TWICE Greets Fans at Fantasy Park Press Conference

TWICE held a press conference a day ahead of their 2nd concert in Singapore, and shared with us some snippets of their lives as well as their preparation for their tour. Singapore marks their first Southeast Asia stop for their 2nd concert – TWICELAND, and all nine girls were happy to be back in Singapore after a year! 

The press conference began with an introduction of each TWICE member. The first question posed was their thoughts on returning to Singapore, and given the chance at a larger venue this time at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, compared to The Star Performing Arts Center last year. Nayeon said that it was an honour to return, and to be given this chance of a bigger venue, while Jihyo expressed that being at a larger venue also means that they will be able to meet more Singapore ONCEs, and that makes her very excited. 

Since the theme of their concert is Fantasy Park, TWICE was asked what they would like to see if they could design their own fantasy park. Sana said because she’s an avid fan of roller coasters, she would make sure that it would be a part of her fantasy park, and also expressed her desire to be able to ride a rollercoaster with ONCEs. Although this visit is not TWICE’s first time in Singapore, the girls were still excited to try local delicacies like chilli crab and black pepper crab. Sana even said that she really likes the mantou that comes with it, she really does eat like a local!

Each TWICE member also answered what they must bring with them when they are overseas on schedules. For Jihyo, as she is into photography lately, she said that her must-bring item is her camera, so that she can retain the memories when she meets with ONCEs from other countries. Jeongyeon has been experiencing pain in her ear lately and thus her headphones are a must, as it seems to cure her ear-ache.

Tzuyu’s pick is her bath bomb as she likes to have a relaxing bath after a long day at work. Sana, Chaeyoung and Dahyun, on the other hand, mentioned items that involved beauty care, such as hand creams, hair brush and a rubber band – it is no wonder TWICE look good wherever they go with these good habits of grooming! Mina brings her tablet along with her so that she can watch movies while waiting for the plane, and Momo said she must have snacks in her bag so she can snack whenever she’s hungry or bored. As Nayeon is a light sleeper, an eye mask is always in her bag and luggage, she can’t sleep even with a small ray of light! 

Lastly, Jihyo suggested fans to use ‘What is Love?’ as a guide if they want to learn Korean. The song has simple words that are commonly used, such as “movie”, “drama” and “love”. Learning Korean phrases from songs is indeed a good way to pick up the Korean language.  The girls then took their final bow before exiting the stage to rest and prepare for their concert tomorrow.
