On the 29th of November, the lovable cast of Running Man landed on Singapore’s sunny shores for the second time, and ecstatic Runners welcomed the members back for the official last stop of the ‘Race Start Season 2’ fan meeting tour. The 2-hour long fan meeting was certainly a night to remember, with Ji Suk-jin, Kim Jong-kook, Song Ji-hyo, Lee Kwang-soo and HAHA in attendance.
The Seoul Story will share 3 main highlights of the fan meeting:
Short Cut Sit-Ups and the Pepero Game
As with other fan meetings, the first part of the fan meeting was dedicated to games with lucky fans. What remained as a pleasant memory was the sit-ups segment during the ‘Relay’ game. Ji-hyo and her chosen partner had to complete 50 sit-ups in one go, but gentlemen Kwang-soo and HAHA allowed the fans to do half sit-ups. The audience erupted in laughter and burst into applause in response to their actions.
Afterwards, the members played a game of ‘Monopoly’ in which Jin Suk Jin had to play the ‘Pepero game’, which usually has a romantic context, with a fan. The surprising twist was that the chosen fan turned to be a boy aged only 14 years old! Though reluctant at first, the game went on smoothly with the encouragement from the Running Man cast, accompanied by occasional teasing from the other members.
Troublemaker Performance
Inspired by K-pop duo Troublemaker, comprising of 4minute’s Hyuna and BEAST’s Hyun-seung, Suk-jin and Kwang-soo paired up for a sizzling hot performance of the hit song ‘Troublemaker’, resulting in non-stop screaming from the audience. With Kwang-soo cross-dressing and all dolled up in a bare-back dress and wig, the duo gave their all in a sexy yet funny dance performance on stage. It was truly a performance to remember. True to their funny and care-free personalities, the duo ended their performance with a mock fight on stage, complete with hair-pulling, receiving great laughter and applause from those present as they slowly headed backstage.
Reggae Party
The fan meet progressed with solo performances by the cast members. As if they had saved the best for last, the audience was truly surprised when HAHA came on stage, bringing with him an entire entourage grooving to reggae songs!
Accompanied with dancers, flags and all things reggae, HAHA presented a completely different image onstage – the singer and performer side of him. HAHA brought almost the entire crowd on their feet, who were dancing along and having fun while watching his performance. It was no doubt a remarkable moment as HAHA showcased a 360-image turn from his usual childish ‘Pororo’ character on the show.
