[SINGAPORE] Relive The Beautiful Chaos of Waterbomb Day 1

Fresh off the success of the first edition last year, WATERBOMB SINGAPORE returned for a second time at Sentosa’s iconic Siloso Beach on August 30 and August 31, 2025! For the uninitiated, WATERBOMB is an annual water-themed music festival featuring large-scale water fights, live music performances, and various entertainment activities. Previously only held in cities across South Korea, the festival has made its way to the Lion City again this year.

Day 1’s stacked lineup of the festival that was held on August 30, 2025 include SORN & SEUNGYEON of girl group CLC, Team BEBE & JAM Republic of Street Woman Fighter fame, HUTA (BTOB Minhyuk), EXID, as well as MINHO & TAEMIN from SHINee.

SORN & SEUNGYEON took the stage in turns, as SEUNGYEON kicked off their segment with a special DJ set, as she expertly spins the deck with an eclectic choice of tunes to hype the audience. Following suit, SORN performed her solo tracks such as Not A Friend, Cool Waters and Rowdy with SEUNGYEON, before seamlessly transitioning to a mini CLC reunion, as they performed a medley of hits like NO, Black Dress, Hobgoblin & Helicopter which got the fans buzzing with excitement.

JAM Republic & Team BEBE then brought the heat with their signature sharp, sultry and alluring dance moves. As this was the first time both teams performed together at the WATERBOMB stage, they showcased a special stage of an ensemble of tracks such as their own spin of KATSEYE’s Gnarly, as well as the Click Like and Smoke choreography from the Street Woman Fighter show.

HUTA (BTOB’s Minhyuk) was next, as he performed his solo tracks like HOOK, Wet and BOOM, as well as BTOB’s Higher and 90TAN’s TANG TANG TANG. Despite this being his first time performing in Singapore as a soloist, the nervous energy was non-existent as he was well equipped with some Singlish to garner the crowd’s attention. Perhaps the most impressive part of his set was his muscular stature, which was displayed pretty early during his stage. His clear chocolate abs and perfectly sculptured body exudes sexy and intense charisma, and properly proved why he is called the ‘Waterbomb God’.

Kicking off the evening portion of Day 1 was EXID, who last performed in Singapore back in 2018. Members Solji, Elly, Hani, Hyelin, and Jeonghwa, graced the stage to perform a number of their most popular tracks.

From the saucy FIRE, electro-inspired DDD & L.I.E, as well as the funky Hot Pink, waves of nostalgia were truly hitting the crowd, as the fans chanted and sang along with EXID throughout their set. The members were also in tune with the crowd, utilising the water cannon to their hearts’ content. They ended with the iconic Up & Down as a finale, which got the crowd chanting the “wi arae” part along with EXID.

The energy went on as MINHO took the stage with his infectious energy and catchy tunes such as Call Back and Affection. By the time he performed Something About U, his top was somehow “lost”, causing frenzy among the fans as his washboard abs were on full display. As he ended his set with SHINee’s Body Rhythm, the sculpted figure of his was properly showcased, making the fans go wild.

The final performer of Day 1 was TAEMIN, who was arguably the most awaited performer of the night. Opening his set with MOVE was a bold choice, but it paid off as his stable vocals combined with his captivating stage presence and sensual choreography made his set more impactful. As he moved to the more dance-heavy tracks such as Sexy In The Air and Advice, the sharp moves that we all know and love were present, as he performed with such coolness and suave, yet still looking relaxed while doing so. He then invited his fellow SHINee member, MINHO, back on stage to perform the 2015 SHINee’s hit View, ending the Day 1 of the festival on a high.

Day 1 of WATERBOMB SINGAPORE 2025 was filled with exciting water fights, thumping beats, groovy choreography and commanding vocals from all the artists involved, leaving us anticipating what’s to come on Day 2 of the festival. Stay tuned for our Day 2 recap of the event!
