[SINGAPORE] PENTAGON Showcases a Kaleidoscope of Colours in Singapore

Singapore UNIVERSEs were treated to a colourful performance as PENTAGON embarked on the final leg of their 1^st World Tour ‘2019 PENTAGON WORLD TOUR [PRISM]’, in Singapore. Having just visited our sunny island earlier in the year for HallyuPopFest, members Hui, Jinho, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok made themselves right at home at The Star Theatre on 2^nd November 2019. 

Opening the evening with “Sha La La”, PENTAGON put up an electrifying performance from the get-go, with Singapore UNIVERSEs mirroring their energy. The boys got UNIVERSEs to stand up and party with them as they launched into their subsequent hits “Gorilla”, “Like This”, and “Runaway”.

PENTAGON showcased their Singlish skills in their playful banter sprinkled with ‘lahs’ and ‘lehs’ – it was a joy watching the boys have fun on stage while UNIVERSEs hung onto their every word. Before they moved on to their next song, “Just Do It Yo!”, the members asked UNIVERSEs to gather their hands in the middle of the stage and did a cheer together!

The night heated up even further as PENTAGON performed their title track, “Humph!” from their latest album [Sum(me:r)]!

Singapore UNIVERSEs went wild as a special cover of “Havana” was performed by Hongseok, Jinho, Kino, and Yeo One. The sexy quadruplet showcased their charms through the cover stage and the heated atmosphere was further turned up by Hongseok who took his shirt off and showcased his toned abs!

Hui, Shinwon, Yuto, and Wooseok then proceeded to blow everyone’s socks off with their own rendition of Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk”. With their powerful vocals and stage presence, the legendary singer himself would have approved!

Turns out our local drink, bandung, was a hot favourite among the boys especially with Jinho and Kino after Hongseok introduced it to them. Performing here in Singapore was especially special to Hongseok as he used to study here in Singapore. His close friends and family as well as Kino’s parents were here to witness this special moment of theirs. They continued the concert with “Critical Beauty” and “Skateboard” while UNIVERSEs proudly waved their UNIBONGs. 

PENTAGON revealed that they chose to name their concert ‘PRISM’ as they wanted to showcase their various colours to UNIVERSEs. Similarly, UNIVERSEs wanted to show their love and support for the boys as they revealed their fan project as PENTAGON took to the stage with “Beautiful”.

Both rap lines and vocal lines prepared unit stages “Lost Paradise” and “Till…” to showcase their specialties. Shortly after, the boys wowed everyone with their all-time favourite hit song, “Shine” that was produced by leader Hui and features the famous ‘Shoot dance’ as part of their choreography. 

PENTAGON wrapped the night up as they belted out the final two songs, “Thumbs Up”, and “Spectacular” after changing into more comfortable outfits. A lucky UNIVERSE even managed to catch the T-shirt thrown by Hongseok!

Both PENTAGON and UNIVERSEs had a great night in each other’s company and PENTAGON promised to return soon! This was definitely a night that UNIVERSEs will remember for a long time as we anticipate PENTAGON’s return to Singapore!
