[SINGAPORE] PARK EUN BIN FILLS HER ‘BINKAN’ WITH SINGAPORE FANS

The versatile actress Park Eun Bin made her way down to sunny Singapore for the first time for a fanmeet to meet her fans in the island! From talks about how she spends her free time, to a reflection of her 27 year-long career to her future plans, we were certain that this is but the beginning of Park Eun Bin’s career peak

Press Conference

The day of events started with a press conference where the actress sat down with a cozy session with friends of the media to answer some of the burning questions posed for her. Park Eun Bin greeted everyone with some of the Singlish she has picked up, and she sure has a flair for it! 

Park Eun Bin was thankful that the weather was kind to her as it was expected to rain, but the skies held up clear for the time she was in Singapore. Unfortunately, due to her tight schedules, she was unable to wander around the country as a tourist and shared that given the chance to return, she would love to explore Universal Studios and the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

As the topic moved to her acting career, Park Eun Bin was surprised at the overwhelming positive response to her latest drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The drama has led her to meeting fans all over the world, and she was amazed that the show attracted fans globally. She shared that it has been an extraordinary experience for her and expresses her wish to take on more roles where she can convey the true message of her character.

Park Eun Bin also shared that she does not do anything special on her breaks, and that is exactly how she rests. Just like some of us, she finds joy in living in the moment instead of planning too far ahead, as she may feel disappointment if her plans derail.

Fanmeeting

Park Eun Bin excitedly appeared on stage with Hello, an original by Park Hye Kyung and later released again by Red Velvet’s Joy. Explaining the name of her fanmeet, Binkan means ‘empty space’ in Korean, and ‘bin’ comes from her name ‘Eun Bin’, which also mean ‘shining’. Hence, the name of the fanmeet conveys the meaning of creating shining memories, filling everyone’s empty spaces.

The first segment started with Park Eun Bin talking about herself, and a game created specially for fans titled The Eun Bin That You Might Not Know Of. The audience took part in a balance game, where they had to choose the option that they think the actress preferred. We got to know that Park Eun Bin prefers writing with a pen, and on blank papers (instead of lines) as she does not just take notes linearly, but jots down notes at the sides as well. At the end of the game, three fans who chose all the options correctly walked away with tote bags that Park Eun Bin designed on the spot!

After a VCR and changing into a different outfit, the actress returned with the song Blue Night of Jeju Island. This time, she spoke more about her acting career which started for her when she was as young as 4-years-old. Park Eun Bin shared that she tries on different roles and genres to cope with boredom and routine. When choosing her works, she also makes sure she can convey the clear message of the character and is a key factor when choosing her works.

While Park Eun Bin has taken on lots of extraordinary roles like a crown prince in The King’s Affection and a lawyer with autism spectrum disorder in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, she divulged that she actually wishes to go back to the basics of Korean dramas, and wants to challenge the genre of a rom-com soon! We are certain there will be love calls soon for the actress!

The night ended off with Park Eun Bin singing The King’s Affection OST If I and a special song for Singapore fans, Singapura, Sunny Island. It was a really eventful day where we got to know a lot more about Park Eun Bin as an actress and a person.
