The day had finally come for idol rock band N.Flying to headline their own concert in Singapore. Regional fans flocked to The Theatre at Mediacorp on November 23 for the 5-man band’s ‘&CON4 : FULL CIRCLE‘ in Singapore, the only Southeast Asian stop of their 2025 world tour.
Men from the moon
Most bands do not really care for theatrics, but the FNC Entertainment quintet made a rather dramatic appearance posing on an elevated stage amongst lunar visuals and lights before descending to pick up their instruments and kick off the evening with thematic Shooting Star, Moonshot, and Blue Moon.
N.Flying’s signature singing rap style was more prominent in love songs such as I Like You and Into You, with leader Seunghyub’s deep rap and vocals providing the perfect ground for main vocalist Hweseung’s crystalline high notes. Seunghyub hilariously tried to substitute a part of I Like You’s lyrics with local slang ‘jialat’, which backfired and made him sheepishly restart the song.

Rollercoaster of emotions
The two vocalists really knew how to get a crowd to jump with them, especially for energetic tracks like 4242, to which fans demanded an encore immediately after, so the band performed it not once but twice in a row. Monster saw Seunghyub vivaciously sing rapping into a megaphone, unleashing a slightly wilder side to the band, whose image is typically tame.
Despite the heavy jumping and movement, specifically during the high-octane track Run, the duo’s vocals remained incredibly stable, proving their decade-long experience in the industry.

Toning things down, Seunghyub took to the keyboards while lead guitarist Cha Hun switched to an acoustic guitar for the nostalgic Spring Memories. Hweseung later admitted to feeling a lump in his throat while singing the bridge: “The members have completed their military enlistments, and it’s our tenth anniversary, so it’s like we’re finally meeting you in ‘spring’ now.”
The Produce 101 alumnus must have been feeling especially sentimental that evening because he also got emotional talking about how Cha Hun plays his guitar solo for Firefly, a track about the fleetingness of youth, differently each time. “Hweseung looks at me with these big watery eyes each time I play my guitar solo,” Cha Hun quietly mused.

Generous encore
N.Flying might as well be called N.Jumping because these men were bouncing non-stop throughout the 3.5-hour show, even through a whopping seven-song encore. From sleeper hit Rooftop and iconic titles The Real and Hot Potato to fan favourites Songbird, Sunset, E-YO, and Leave It, this might be one of the most generous encores in K-pop band history.
The stamina to jump throughout the concert probably owes to the members’ athleticism. Seunghyub and Hweseung revealed that they had gone on a jog in Singapore before the concert, Seunghyub adding that it was refreshing to run in warm weather after being used to running in the cold. The duo also coincidentally ran into fans toward the end of their jog, but Hweseung was embarrassed about fans catching him panting and exhausted and had to keep a poker face until they left.

Besides the vocalist duo, the other band members did not speak much during the show, but one sentiment seemed to echo across the members: N.Flying wants to do music until they’re 80. “You guys — and this place — are a miracle,” drummer Jaehyun said in animated English. Cha Hun talked about loving how fans’ eyes light up at their shows, and urged them to stay healthy so that they can watch the band perform even in old age. “You guys make us brighter and happier,” the guitarist said, also in English.

For bassist Dongsung, who joined the band only in 2020, it is his first time in Singapore, apart from a transit stop at Changi Airport. “Even through that one time, I could feel that Singapore would be great.” Amidst dropping temperatures in South Korea, the bassist is happy about Singapore’s hot weather and is excited to try local food.

The band snapped a picture with the audience, which Seunghyub jokingly warned is a way for him to check if fans come back for their next show. But on a serious note, he hopes that fans do not forget that the band ‘lives and breathes’ with them, even after they return to their lives: “I will never take your love for granted.”
