[SINGAPORE] MONSTA X Unleashes Their Charms As The Main Act For The HSBC Women’s Championship Music Festival

Fans gathered at The Coliseum at Hard Rock Hotel to see MONSTA X in the flesh last Saturday amidst the sweltering hot weather. MONSTA X, consisting of members, Jooheon, Shownu, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Wonho, Minhyuk, and I.M, had a great time with Monbebes (MONSTA X’s official fan club name) on that very night! Not only were they gentlemanly and cute, but they also had everyone’s hearts beating faster with their top-notch choreography and beautiful voices.

Powerful dance moves to start the night with
Even before the performance officially started, Monbebes were enthusiastically reciting the fan chants as MONSTA X’s music videos were being played on the screen in front of them. The moment the lights were all dimmed, everyone knew that the boys would be making their appearance soon!

The song which MONSTA X opened the show with was none other than “Beautiful”, which had fans screaming with glee. The song’s powerful choreography, combined with the members’ clear and melodious voices, swept the crowd away into another bout of fan chant.

Other songs which MONSTA X had performed included “Honestly”, “White Love”, “From Zero”, “Sweetheart”, “Hero”, “Shine Forever”, “DRAMARAMA”, “I’ll Be There” and “5:14 (Last Page)”.

Talk segments: MON-STORY & MON-CASSO
MONSTA X had prepared a few segments during which they were able to interact with fans. The MON-STORY segment had the boys showing various photos to the crowd and asking them to guess when those photos were taken. It was a riot! A picture of a newly-debuted MONSTA X had Monbebes squealing and going “Aww!” while the boys on the stage were dead set on making fun of each other.

Kihyun was revealed to have been going through a hip-hop phase at the time of debut, which had the audience bursting out in laughter.

For the MON-CASSO segment, the members were given one minute to draw what they wanted to eat with Monbebes. Shownu wanted to share non-alcoholic drinks, Wonho said that he wanted to share ice-cream and Minhyuk wanted to share naengmyeon (cold noodles) with the fans to overcome the hot weather in Singapore. Well, that all sounds great right? KihyunHyungwon, and Jooheon chose to share chili crab, grilled prawns with salt and dumplings respectively. Those sound yummy too, don’t they? 😀

However, I.M won hands-down when he declared that he was sharing water with Monbebes and dramatically re-enacted the famous salt bae meme, which instantly gained the support of a majority of Monbebes, and the reluctant respect from the other members of MONSTA X.

Singapore Monbebes’ surprise for MONSTA X… And… Wait, is that a ramen cake?
MONSTA X was surprised when a video suddenly appeared on the screen behind them, thinking that a technical glitch had occurred. It was actually a VCR made by Singapore Monbebes to show their appreciation for the boys!

Shortly after, a cake was brought out to celebrate Wonho’s birthday. The venue was filled with the cheerful sound of Monbebes singing for the birthday boy, who teared up a little. They were a little confused at first because they were unsure if a cake was really brought out to them. Turns out that Singapore Monbebes had the cake specially made in the form of ramen in a pot for their beloved ramen boy Wonho!

The MONSTA X members could not get over how unique the cake was, marveling at a slice after Wonho managed to cut a slice to show everyone that it is indeed a cake!

Nearing the end of the concert, Wonho said that he hoped he will get to see Monbebes again but in an air-conditioned venue next time. In the meantime, MONSTA X will be making their comeback soon with “The Connect”, so do continue giving them all your love and support until the next meeting!
