[SINGAPORE] Lee Seung Gi Unleashes His Charms At ‘2018 Lee Seung Gi in Singapore’ Fan-meet

After five long years, the veteran singer and actor finally had the chance to return to our sunny shores to show his fans a good time once again. On 7 July 2018, Lee Seung Gi held his fan meet in Singapore, sharing his experiences from army, as well as his upcoming projects. After ending his military service, the actor continued to expand his career, impressing and garnering more fans through his pompous array of works.

Kicking off the fan-meet with his debut song, “Because You’re My Woman”, Lee Seung Gi melted the hearts of his Airens, reminding us of his title as the ‘ballad king’. Shortly after, the actor conversed with fans, and expressed his thankfulness to Singapore Airens for coming to the fan-meet and supporting him even after five years. He also shared that he received letters from Singapore fans while he was in the military, and some snacks from the waiting room reminded him of the food items fans had sent him.

Lee Seung Gi has many projects under his belt at the moment; from the high anticipated “Vagabond” drama to the currently airing “Master In The House” and “Produce 48”, the actor is making his mark in the industry by appearing in both dramas and variety shows. When asked about “Vagabond”, Lee Seung Gi shared that it was a realistic drama that was going to be very different from his other works, although the drama is still in the initial stages of filming. He further added, “The content of this drama is also quite heavy, so I do not think that we will have the time for kissing scenes”.

His recent work, “A Korean Odessy (Hwayugi)”, had also garnered many positive reviews from fans all over the world. “It was really cold when we were filming the drama, it was -20 degrees, and during the hottest time it was -12 degrees. Thanks to the fur coat, it helped me to keep warm.” Airens from the crowd were chosen by the cameraman to act out some iconic scenes from the drama. An enthusiastic fan (who bought tickets to watch with his girlfriend), was even lucky enough to be back hugged by the man himself! He also joked, “I was the Nation’s Brother, but I think I am the Nation’s Boyfriend now. Maybe when I am in my 40s, I shall then become the Nation’s Husband”.

Although Lee Seung Gi is known as a multi-talented man with many skills, his variety sense in “Master In The House” allowed us to understand the different sides of the actor better. From football to coffee making, Lee Seung Gi is passionate in what he does, and has a competitive nature that has started to unleash after this variety stint. By grinding coffee beans and making a nice cup of Americano on stage, a lucky fan walked away with a cup of coffee, as well as a signed poster by the barista, Lee Seung Gi, himself! How we wish we could smell how aromatic the coffee was!

Last but not least, Lee Seung Gi shared about his life in the military. In a video shown at the fan meet, Lee Seung Gi and his other colleagues were seen lifting a boat using their heads, while eating simultaneously. These physical trainings during the army has helped him to perform well in “Master In The House”. “I remember all of the masters from the show, but the most memorable ones would definitely be Youn Yuh Jung, Cha In Pyo and Park Ji Sung”.

Ending the concert with a bang, Lee Seung Gi performed his songs, “Unfinished Story”, “Smile Boy” and “Let’s Go On A Trip”, entertaining the crowd with his breath-taking vocals! We hope his Airens will continue supporting him in his upcoming projects, and we cannot wait to hear more of his new music soon!
