[SINGAPORE] Jackson Wang Brings A Night Of Magic To Singapore

The Magic Man, Jackson Wang, himself came down to Sunny Singapore for the second time this year for his concert The Magic Man World Tour. The Hong Kong born and bred GOT7 member can add another feature to his accolades as he successfully wrapped up his first ever solo concert in Singapore, to a sold-out venue of 10,000 fans.

Jackson kicked off the concert with 100 Ways and continues with a series of title tracks and b-sides from his albums, amazing the crowd each time with the fanciful stage set-up. One can see the dedication and passion Jackson has towards his work, striving for perfection as he danced in synchrony with his team of dancers.

In between performances, Jackson spoke with his fans and was humbled to know that people of different kinds of backgrounds came to watch him at his first solo concert – something that has always been at the top of his wish list. Explaining the title of his concert Magic Man, he hopes that he is able to share himself as a person through the journey of his world tour, and to inspire everyone to be able to find their magic. Before leaving the stage for the next performance, Jackson reassured everyone that while it is normal to feel bouts of emptiness and loneliness, they are not alone and he hopes that everyone is happy and free in their own way.

The concert brought the audience through a series of themes – Masked, Abandon, Hope and Magic Man. As the theme of Hope came on, Jackson kicked off with LMLY, a synth-pop song mixed with electronics and a soft rock base. This segment was also most exciting for fans as they know that this is when Jackson would pick a fan from the audience to serenade to with I Love You 3000, his only requirement was that the fan had to be single. The lucky fan was all smiles as she waved a rose given by Jackson – it was definitely a magical moment that Jackson gifted her.

After a VCR showing Jackson’s journey as an artiste, he reiterated the message for everyone to ‘find their magic’. He returned on stage with Come Alive, a highly anticipated performance for all. The synergy with his dancers once again amazed the crowd, and the control of the stage with amazing set-up drew lots of screams from the audience.

As the concert inched to a close, Jackson thanked the audience once again, and hopes that everyone can be free and go for what they love. He ended the night by bringing the organisers on stage and all had fun with a mini party, ending the night with a blast.

Throughout the concert, it was evident that Jackson had put in hard work after hard work to achieve his standards of perfection. From the amazing showmanship to the stage works and theatrics, it was evident that Jackson has grown leaps and bounds from when he started off his career. It was an unforgettable night not only because the crowd got to see Jackson do his magic, but also because of the many takeaways and life lessons they can bring home together with the fantastic experience.
