[SINGAPORE] IVE Shows What They Have at 1st World Tour

4th generation top idols IVE made their way back to Singapore for the second time in less than a year, bringing their 1st world tour SHOW WHAT i HAVE to Singapore. Singapore DIVEs were in for a treat as they witnessed IVE’s versatilities and unrivalled abilities, proving themselves to be one of the best 4th generation female idol groups.

The concert took off on a powerful start as the sextet opened with I AM, a song about self-discovery and empowerment. The group, comprising of members Gaeul, Yujin, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo, conveyed the message of going one’s own way without worrying about conforming to the expectations of others with powerful dance moves and perfectly hitting all the high notes of the song. Promising a night of non-stop fun with improved visuals with added cuteness at an upgraded venue of the Singapore Indoor Stadium, the girls continued with a series of B-side tracks. One of the crowds’ favourites was the rock version of Royal, performed and remixed specially for the world tour.

In between breaks, IVE also took time to explain the concept behind their outfits. Wonyoung spoke about how she went for a Barbie ribbon concept, and jokingly asked where Ken was, eliciting screams from fanboys as they waved their I Ha Bongs in excitement. Leader Yujin was seen rocking a girl crush look as she explained she had cut her hair short not too long ago. Her short locks gave off a fresh girl crush vibe, accentuating her sharp features at the same time.

The highlight of the concert came when the members prepared for their solo and unit stages. Gaeul took the stage in a white halter top and cargo jeans, dancing to 7 Rings, followed by Rei who shared her powerful vocals with Holo. The duo then took the stage together, partying off to Wannabe. Wonyoung and Liz then serenaded DIVEs to Reality in yellow dresses, matched with a dreamy backdrop. Last but definitely not the least, Yujin and Leeseo ended the special stage segment with Woman Like Me, leaving DIVEs screaming for more.

As the concert drew to a close, IVE dished out their title tracks successively. Beginning with Love Dive, followed by Kitsch, Baddie and closing off with After Like, the stadium reverberated with a mixture of lyrics to the songs and synchronised fanchants.

While all good things come to an end, IVE promised DIVEs that they will return to Singapore again soon, and expressed their gratitude for another core memory that they will keep with them. We hope the girls return again in no time for another special night with DIVEs, and to enjoy another round of chilli crab again.
