[SINGAPORE] IU Charms Fans With Terrific Symphony in Singapore

IU‘s captivating performance during the HEREH World Tour Concert in Singapore last Saturday had everyone yearning for more. It was the first day of a 2-day concert held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Whereas IU, otherwise known as Lee Ji Eun, performed at The Star Theatre when she came down to Singapore more than 5 years ago, it was different this year. At the Singapore Indoor Stadium, IU gets to bring her spectacular stage set and tell an even grander story to UAENAs (IU’s official fandom name) in Singapore. There was a sense of enchantment and connection in every moment, from the intense beats to the poignant words. IU created a tapestry of emotions that stayed long after the last note faded into the night, weaving them together amidst the pulsating energy of the crowd.

Raw Emotions: IU’s Perfect Voice Evokes Emotions in UAENAs

IU’s stage performance during the concert serves as a display of her extraordinary skill and range as an artist. From Bbibbi‘s contagious vitality to Strawberry Moon‘s whimsical vibe, every song was a trip through a rainbow of emotions. The viewers were captivated by IU’s stage persona and expressive voice, mesmerising the audience as she moved between poignant ballads and joyful songs with ease. IU was astounded by the strong audience engagement during her Celebrity performance, which transformed the arena into a chorus of voices singing together. UAENAs felt more like they were sharing a unique time with a close friend than they were at a concert because of her chemistry with the crowd.

“Today is the 9th concert of this tour. Somehow, I feel as time passes by, I’m learning how to enjoy this concert. And I have a feeling that all of you enjoying yourselves will impact my mood for subsequent concerts!”

It should come as no surprise to everyone that Love wins all had the entire stadium cheering the loudest. IU’s sweet voice flows into the audience’s ears like honey. Feelings of longing and hope were conveyed through the emotions within the singer’s unbearably enchanting voice, piercing hearts unwittingly.

She had prepared an exclusive keychain for each attendee, whereas her mum prepared a customised photocard holder with IU’s photocard in it. While fans in Korea received cushions from IU’s mum, unfortunately they were simply to bulky to be shipped overseas. However, IU emphasised that it does not mean that the photocards were cheaper than the cushion, to which the audience burst into laughter.

She also shared about how “dope” her introduction performance of Holssi was, where she danced with lucky dancers from MADDSpace. Whenever IU saw attendees making their way to their seats, she expressed how heartbroken she was that they missed her previous performances. However, it got to a point where these stray fans had to clarify with IU that they had not missed out on a huge part of the show but that they were simply coming back to their seats after a toilet break! The audience was left with unforgettable moments as she engaged in lively banter and distributed gifts as gestures of gratitude.

During one moment, IU blurted out, “I knew you guys were good singers, but you weren’t this good 5 years ago!”. The occasional candidness had fans chuckling and falling even deeper in love with IU.

The sharing of sincere kind acts, like offering a flower to a baby UAENA and preparing special merchandise for the one lucky winner, made a lasting impression on all those in attendance. UAENAs became even more devoted to IU because of her authenticity and humility, which created an unbreakable bond of respect and understanding that went beyond the barriers of the stage.
