[SINGAPORE] HWASA 1st Fancon Tour: A Remarkable Night of Unforgettable Performances

HWASA returned to the Lion City for her first-ever solo fan concert “HWASA the 1st FANCON TOUR [Twits] ”, on June 22, 2024. The energy and excitement radiating from TWITS (HWASA’s fanbase) were felt throughout the entire Star Theatre even before the show started.

HWASA made a memorable entrance at the Star Theatre, captivating TWITS by entering from the side entrance and dazzling them with her elegance. In an intimate and heartfelt gesture, she interacted with her fans and even gifted her long coat to one lucky TWIT, making the evening warm and personal. 

Let The Show Begin

She kicked off the show with powerful performances of her hit songs TWIT, I Love My Body, and Somebody!. HWASA then continued with a soulful rendition of SZA’s Snooze, showcasing her versatile vocals while leaving the audience in awe.

It was followed by HWASA taking a moment to thank her Singaporean TWITS for coming, expressing her excitement and promising a memorable night ahead. With the high energy in the theatre, she transitioned to a performance of Lemon, accompanied by her incredible dancers who perfectly complemented her stage presence. She also sang Don’t, which drew everyone’s attention with her vocals.

After performing several songs back-to-back, HWASA took a breather and began her interactive segments with TWITS such as ‘Tweet About HWASA’& ‘TWITS Who Only Know About You’. One highlight was the reveal of her ‘WOP’ dance challenge that she had recorded exclusively for her Singaporean fans, showcasing her playful side. 

Revealing a personal touch, HWASA shared anecdotes from her time in the Lion City. She visited the iconic Merlion with her staff members where she did the trendy photo visitors love to capture. She also expressed her love for Kaya jam, saying that she will crave the unique flavour when she leaves.

When asked about her choice of perfume, she remained elusive and playfully teased the audience. Despite persistent inquiries from TWITS, she only divulged that it was from Celine, and still would not reveal the name of the scent as it’s one of her top secrets.

A Night Of Unforgettable Hits

HWASA kept the momentum going with performances of I’m a B, LMM, and the iconic Maria. The energy in the venue went through the roof as she transitioned to a medley of MAMAMOO favourites, such as Décalcomanie, Egotistic, Starry Night, Dingga, and Hip.

Singapore TWITS danced and sang along, creating an atmosphere that made the night truly unforgettable. Needless to say, HWASA’s setlist was an incredible combination of her solo hits and nostalgic MAMAMOO classics.

A Sweet Surprise: A Tribute To A Decade

Just days before HWASA’s fancon in Singapore, MAMAMOO celebrated their remarkable 10th anniversary as a group. In honour of the milestone, fans created a heartfelt tribute and presented her with a beautiful cake. The gesture left HWASA visibly moved and she expressed her gratitude by taking photos with her fans, capturing the special moment.

The night ended with a fun performance of Travel, with confetti sprayed across the theatre. The fancon was a perfect blend of celebration and musical artistry, marking a memorable evening for all who attended.
