[SINGAPORE] Getting to Know the 12 Princes that lives in The Castle

If you were ever curious what Princes do in their free time, look no further because The Boyz will tell you. That’s exactly what happened last Saturday when the 12-member boy group, held their open press conference at Gain City Megastore @ Sungei Kadut. This is the group’s first time in Singapore for their 1st ever Asia Fan Meeting, titled [The Castle].

The moment The Boyz appeared on stage, The Bs welcomed them warmly through their fervent screams. Fans waited as early as 5AM just to catch a better glimpse of the group through their open press conference. After greeting the fans individually, The Boyz mentioned that even though this was their first time in Singapore, they were looking forward to the scenery. They formed their impression of Singapore through the movie, “Crazy Rich Asians” and were excited to enjoy what the country has to offer. Ju Yeon expressed a very keen interest in catching Spectra – A Light & Water show held at Marina Bay Sands.

Their latest single, ‘Bloom Bloom‘, has won the group No. 1 on music show. When they were asked about the inspiration for the song, members Sun Woo and Eric mentioned that they have always wanted to dedicate a song to their fans and just like the song, walk down the “flowery road” together. Even though The Boyz debuted in 2017, their concept has always been known to be bubbly and fresh. However, the members expressed the group’s interest in switching up their concept to a sexy one and well, aren’t we all ready for it? The group also shared with us that they look up to BTS and EXO as their role models and aspire to be like them.

We had the chance to ask them what activities they would like to try out individually and their answers varied across the members. Most members expressed that they would like to focus on promotions as a group. They would like to bring The Boyz to greater heights and perform a full-fledged concert before they delve into personal activities. Nonetheless, there were also members who wanted to explore other avenues. Fans will know that Kevin draws in his free time and has actually participated in designing their album covers. He hopes that in the future he would be given more opportunities to contribute. Adventurous members like Sunwoo and Younghoon wanted to do sky-diving, while Jacob would like to travel and Hyunjae wanted to go to the moon! Hwall also expressed his desire to walk down the runway of a fashion show. Lastly, Eric expressed his interest in producing and would love to compose a title track for The Boyz as well as creating a choreography for the dance.

Whatever their interests may be, we hope that The Boyz would be able to do what they love and achieve their dreams! (Juyeon fulfilled his wish that day by visiting the Spectra light show!)
