“Are you familiar with my album? What is your favourite song?” he asked, interacting with the audience in an easy-going yet captivating manner.
He gave the crowd a taste of variety by introducing the remix of Do or Die, his last song of the evening. As his set came to an end, the charismatic man waved and grinned, expressing gratitude to Singapore for sharing in this incredible experience.
DPR Cream: A Heartfelt Return to Singapore
As the lighting changed, it signaled DPR Cream’s moment to shine as he made his entrance with how many drinks?.
“Hello Singapore, thank you for coming and for having us. Nice to meet you again,” he enthusiastically welcomed the crowd.
He had a remarkable ability to make each fan feel unique, and his connection with the audience was indisputable.
With genuineness in his voice, he went on to say, “You look so pretty and good.”
Cream then said he was glad to be back on stage and acknowledged the amount of time that had gone by since their last concert in Singapore. He moved on to his next song, i miss u (too bad), which struck a deep chord with the crowd. The fans connected with the song’s lyrics about distance and longing, and the emotional performance was one of the night’s highlights.
Some of the other songs he performed were test drive, uzuz, darling, t and 투.
“Are you familiar with my album?” Cream inquired before moving on to perform puberty, a song that had gained popularity among fans.
“We’ll come back again, we promise you,” Cream said after performing savage.
“See you at the next performance!”
Fans were simply enthused to hear his words, knowing that they will still be able to see more of DPR in the near future.
DPR Ian: Theatrical Moments and Personal Stories
DPR Ian appeared on stage as the lights went down, and the crowd grew more excited. His spectacular entrance, of which he came from behind a group of dancers, was nothing short of theatrical. Ian’s presence was compelling, and the energy in the air was evident as he opened his set with Welcome to The Other Side. The live band and backup dancers backing Ian up during his set performed seamlessly well, weaving a beautiful display of artistry.
Don’t Go Insane, which became a popular trending song on Tiktok, had the audience going wild and singing along ever so enthusiastically.
“Hi, Singapore! Are you guys enjoying yourselves?”
The audience screamed back in reply. As he introduced each song with intimate and humorous anecdotes, Ian’s rapport with the audience was evident. He laughed as he recalled how his grandparents used to prepare Korean food for school while in Australia.
He recalled a particular childhood memory and said, “Kimchi fried rice—yeah, it was a little smelly, but I traded it with my friends for sandwiches.“
That was when he started singing Peanut Butter & Tears, to the delight of fans. Some of the other songs he performed were MITO, Mood, Dope Lovers, Calico, Scaredy Cat, and Nerves. One of the most anticipated moments of the night was DPR Ian introducing I AM Nobody, which has not been released yet. When asked, he said that he would be spoiling too much but that it would be released the year after in 2025.
The whole experience felt personal because of Ian’s ability to incorporate comedy and sensitivity into his act, giving each fan a sense of intimacy as he shared parts of himself.
“I’m already on my last song. I’ll forever be grateful to each and every one of you. Because I love you all so much, I needed to make a song that made me think of you. Don’t ever change for anybody,” Ian confessed, as the instrumentals to Ballroom Extravaganza started playing in the background.
The beautiful song had everyone in the audience singing along dramatically to the lyrics, as the emotions reverberated throughout the entire venue!
DPR gave fans more than just their music; they shared their hearts and souls. Every moment felt like a celebration of the bond with fans. The audience got up on their feet as they sang in unison during the encore performance of Do or Die, where all DPR members got on the stage together. The three men interacted with fans as they sang their last song, giving fans a moment that they would never forget.
