Skechers Sundown Festival Singapore, in it’s 6th year running, is an annual festival where fans get to see artistes from several different Asian countries come together and perform on one stage. This year was no different – with an even more impressive lineup of artistes, from even more countries compared to previous years, participating.
Following in the footsteps of their fellow idol colleagues Teen Top, BTOB and AOA , Cross Gene was this year’s South Korean representative at the festival. The band opened their segment of the event with their latest hit track “I’m Not A Boy, Not Yet A Man”. Dressed suavely in sleek dark suits despite the hot and humid Singapore weather, the 6 boys looked confident and caught the attention of many as they performed their first song.
The 6-membered boy band, comprising of Takuya, Shin, Yong-seok, Se-young, Sang-min and Casper, then continued to heat the festival’s stage up with exciting dance numbers such as “On The Floor”, “Dirty Pop” and “Crazy”. Casper especially drove the girls wild when he took off his coat during one their numbers, revealing his lean and toned body.
Cross Gene impressed the audience with their liveliness and undying energy as they performed back-to-back dance numbers and interacted with the audience as well. The 6 boys also performed the Korean version of their Japanese debut single “Shooting Star” which was a crowd favourite, judging by the loud cheers and screams they received in response.
By then, Cross Gene had come to the end of their stage but the fans showed their love and stayed till the encore, when all the artistes came back on stage. The members thanked their fans who were still at the festival and bade farewell to the audience one last time.
