[SINGAPORE] Breathing New Life Into The City: KISS OF LIFE’S First Concert

With excitement bubbling for weeks, KISS OF LIFE (KIOF), finally made their long-awaited concert debut in Singapore on April 25, and the city was more than ready. Performing to a sold-out crowd, the four-member girl group delivered a night of pure energy, emotion, and unforgettable moments at their first world tour, ‘Kiss Road’ — marking a milestone that both the group and their devoted fanbase, affectionately known as KISSYs, had been dreaming of.

Though this was not the quartet’s first time on Singapore soil — having previously visited for a public fansign organised by House of Kpop, and their appearance at Yuewen Music Festival 2024 — this was the first full concert experience. And wow, was it worth the wait.

KISS OF LIFE Brings The Heat to Singapore with Signature Hits

As the lights faded and the opening VCR flickered to life, the theatre also roared in real time, setting the stage for an adrenaline-charged night that was only just beginning. Wasting no time, the girls kicked things off with a bang through Get Loud’ — a bold opener that had the entire venue roaring. The energy only climbed with the iconic ‘Igloo,’ the viral sensation that has taken over the internet with its sunglasses move and unforgettable choreography. With ‘Bad News’ closing the first act, the girls turned the stage into a playful welcome party for their Singapore KISSYs. The energy in the room was undeniable — fans were already dancing, singing, and completely lost in the joy of the moment.

After closing the first act with explosive energy, the girls paused to catch their breath and address the crowd. With huge smiles, they greeted Singapore KISSYs, asking, ‘How does it feel to see them live tonight?’ The response was deafening as the crowd roared in excitement, fueling the night with even more energy. You could feel it—the moment everyone had been waiting for had finally arrived. Knowing they were lucky to have snatched tickets to this concert, KISSYs erupted with even greater passion, savouring every second of the unforgettable night.

Individuality Shines Through with their Solos – Showcasing their Undeniable Talent

KISS OF LIFE’s solo performances were a masterclass in individuality, with each member bringing her own colour and genre to the stage. Belle’s ‘Countdown’ showcased her powerful vocals, with each note echoing and filling the theatre, leaving the crowd in awe of her incredible range and control. Julie, with ‘Kitty Cat,’ turned up the heat, delivering a fierce rap performance that infused hip-hop vibes and charisma, showing her raw and unapologetic energy. Haneul’s ‘Play, Love, Games’ was a burst of youthful exuberance as she brought her maknae energy to the stage in a cheerleading outfit, delivering a vibrant performance full of playful pop beats and infectious joy. Natty’sSugarcoat’ brought a touch of sultry R&B to the night, with her smooth vocals and playful tease as she slightly removed her outerwear, showcasing a bold, confident side of her artistry. Each solo not only highlighted their vocal prowess and tight choreography but also their ability to seamlessly blend genres and make them their own, proving KISS OF LIFE’s versatility and unmatched stage presence.

Back on Stage and in Sync for Another Round of Group Performances

After their individual solo stages, KISS OF LIFE regrouped on stage to launch into another round of high-energy performances. They opened this segment with the sultry and captivating ‘Nobody Knows,’ setting the mood before seamlessly transitioning into the fan-favourite ‘Te Quiero’ and the stylish groove of ‘Gentleman.’ But the true highlight of the night came during ‘No One But Us’ — a moment that left a lasting impression. The girls stepped off the stage and made their way through the crowd, getting upclose and personal with KISSYs, waving, smiling, and sharing precious moments of eye contact and fan interaction. It was clear they knew exactly what their fans wanted — and they delivered with hearts wide open.

Returning to the stage, they kept the energy high with ‘My 808’ and then turned things up a notch with the explosive ‘Sticky.’ The crowd instantly responded, belting out the lyrics and joining in with perfectly timed fan chants. It was the kind of moment that defines a summer anthem — loud, joyful, and absolutely unforgettable. The girls then slowed things down with heartfelt performances of ‘TTG’ and their English track, ‘Nothing.’ Before the start of the song, they asked KISSYs to turn on their phone flashlights and sing along — and in an instant, the theatre transformed into a twinkling sea of lights, creating a beautifully intimate atmosphere. Voices filled the air as fans joined in, making the moment feel deeply personal and connected.

As the concert neared its end, the members gathered for their final ment, expressing gratitude and excitement for what’s to come. They teased that new music is on the way soon, cheekily asking fans if they could keep a little secret and “shhh” — a playful nod that perfectly led into the final songs of the night: the glittering ‘Midas Touch’ and their fierce debut anthem ‘Shhh.’ It was the perfect sendoff — powerful, cheeky, and full of promise.

The End of This Road, the Start of Another

Just when fans thought the night was over, the girls returned to the stage for an encore set that had everyone on their feet once again. Kicking things off with the uplifting ‘Bye My Neverland,’ they kept the energy soaring with ‘Says It,’ before closing the set with the emotionally charged ‘Back To Me.’ The encore was a perfect blend of nostalgia and heart — a moment that felt like a heartfelt goodbye wrapped in joy, gratitude, and a hint of what’s still to come. The quartet were also met with a surprise prepared by Singapore KISSYs — a touching fan-made video played on the big screen, showcasing the group’s growth since their debut and highlighting their journey with Singapore fans over the past year. From their first visit for a fansign to now filling a sold-out theatre, the video was a love letter from fans who’ve stood by them through every high and low.

The girls took a moment to thank their fans for loving them unconditionally — through every challenge, every milestone. They shared how meaningful it was to see how far they’ve come, especially in Singapore, where they’ve felt so much love and support in such a short time. They expressed their hopes to return again, next time at a bigger venue so even more KISSYs could join the experience. If last night was any indication, that bigger space is more than necessary. These girls are no longer rising stars — they’re already shining, and the world is watching.

While the Singapore stop didn’t feature the iconic ‘Kissy Chair’ that made waves during their Western tour legs, it didn’t take away from the intimacy and love shared during the night. The group’s sincere interactions, surprise appearances in the crowd, and unfiltered affection made it clear that Singapore holds a special place in their hearts. As they waved their final goodbyes, the message was clear: this may be the end of the night, but it’s far from the end of the road.

Until next time — Singapore will be waiting with open arms (and maybe a Kissy Chair too).
