[SINGAPORE] Baekhyun Mesmerises With Stunning Vocals At Singapore LONSDALEITE Stop

As part of his LONSDALEITE tour, Byun Baekhyun, a member of the K-pop group EXO, stopped by Singapore for the first time as a solo artist. A night of thrilling moments was promised by Baekhyun, who is well-known for his compelling vocals and stage charisma. Having achieved numerous chart-topping successes, Baekhyun has solidified his position as a formidable force in the K-pop industry. EXO-Ls (EXO’s fandom name), otherwise known as Aeris or Eris, looked restless and unable to contain their excitement as they awaited Baekhyun.

Sensational Setlist Delights EXO-Ls

To thunderous applause from the audience, Baekhyun began his performance with one of EXO’s tracks called Diamond. The intensity of the exhilarating mood increased as he smoothly moved into the sensual sounds of PLAYBOY and the alluring beat of Stay Up. When Baekhyun sang the enthralling and addictive tunes of Ice Queen, the audience were excited and singing along faithfully.

Fans were riveted by the setlist, which features slower R&B tracks like Love Scene and Love Again. Inspiring sentiments of passion and nostalgia, EXO-Ls can be seen metaphorically melting into puddles as they sing along with Baekhyun’s pleasant and velvety voice.

Baekhyun said that he could feel the love and connection from his committed fans even if they were singing in a different language, just by listening to how enthusiastically they were singing. As the evening wore on, Baekhyun showed off the varied genres of music he was able to bring to life. From the raw intensity of Cry For Love to the eerie charm of Ghost and the exuberant fun of Poppin’, Baekhyun did not fail to delight the crowd.

The encore brought the show to its zenith, with Baekhyun’s solo rendition of PARANOIA which left the audience speechless. Baekhyun thanked the crowd and gave his all to every note of Privacy and Garden in the Air, creating an unforgettable memory that every EXO-L will never forget.

Intimate Moments with Baekhyun

Baekhyun talked about how his last trip to Singapore was five years ago when he came with the other EXO members during EXO PLANET #5 Concert in 2019. A lot of fans cheered as they remembered attending the concert as well!

His charming attempts to blend in with the community were evident as he pleased fans by picking up and adopting some Singlish terms. He suddenly said “Aeri chiobu!”, saying that his fans are pretty. Not only that but he cutely blurted out “Alamak!”, an exclamation that Singaporeans usually use when they do something wrong.

Even though Baekhyun gave his all during the concert, he respectfully asked for more energy from the audience, expressing his sincere gratitude for their support.

He told the fans that he was happy and sincere and that he was grateful for the chance to meet them. Baekhyun cheerfully interacted with the crowd by joking about his bunny-eared beanie and constantly asking everyone if they were enjoying themselves. Baekhyun voiced out that he hopes the next time he comes to Singapore will be with his fellow EXO members. The artist expressed his sentiment about how he hoped everyone loved the songs and their lyrics.

“So today, did everyone practise the chant? I really hope that everyone like the performances so much that you sing even the parts outside of the fan chants!”

These touching conversations demonstrated Baekhyun’s sincere love for his Aeris and his dedication to making special moments with them. It was heartwarming to see how he makes a conscious effort to entertain everyone, his inherently cheerful and bubbly personality winning everyone over.

Heartfelt Encore and Closing Remarks

Towards the end of the show, Baekhyun thanked Singapore Aeris for their unwavering energy and enthusiasm, which kept the energy up and the atmosphere energised. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to them, moved by the priceless moments they had shared. He begged them to wait a little while longer for his next visit, promising to return soon.

During the photo-taking session with the audience, Baekhyun had everyone doing the “Tokki” pose, as he was wearing a bunny-eared beanie, Afterwards, he proposed that everyone do a thumbs up and shout “We Are One!”, which is EXO’s signature greeting and pose. This caused the audience to go into a frenzy of excitement.

He thanked everyone who helped him with the concert, from makeup artists to the stylists, dancers and all things related to the performance. Everyone in the audience clapped as well, and then shouted that Baekhyun did a great job! However, this made Baekhyun start clapping again and saying that EXO-Ls did a great job that night.

Ending the evening with Amusement Park, Baekhyun enthralls the audience with his malleable and versatile voice. He perfectly captured the whimsical melody of the song, ensuring that memories of the concert would be left lingering like a spell in the air even after the concert ended.

Everyone is looking forward to seeing Baekhyun again soon, and we hope to see all the members of EXO as well next time! It was a moment to be cherished, and there is no doubt that fans will be thinking of Baekhyun and listening to his songs on repeat to relive the concert moments!
