[SINGAPORE] Apink Revisits 15 Years of Nostalgic Magic in ‘The Origin: APINK’

Apink Marks a Milestone of 15 Years Together

When it comes to the quintessential “cute, innocent and girly” K-pop girl group concept, Apink remains the ultimate blueprint. Following a year-long wait, Apink returned to Singapore for their highly anticipated 2026 Asia Tour, ‘The Origin: APINK’. More than just another tour, ‘The Origin: APINK’ serves as a monumental celebration for their 15th anniversary. Known for their longevity and genuine friendship, the members have reunited for their latest album, RE : LOVE and this tour, despite them no longer being under the same agency.

This tour is a real gift for Pink Pandas who grew up with their music as it features a setlist packed with nostalgic gems, some of which have been absent from their concert setlists for more than a decade. The 3-hour concert was truly an emotional voyage that captured Apink’s 15 years of growth, from their 2011 roots to the mature artists they are today.

Back to Their Origin

As the opening notes of Apink’s debut title track I don’t Know filled the Arena @ EXPO, the venue was instantly transformed into a whimsical garden of nostalgia. Clad in shimmering baby pink dresses and sleek white knee-high boots, Apink made a stunning entrance that felt like a page out of a fairytale. The energy of the arena was electric when they continued with BUBIBU, an iconic fan-favourite that has not been performed live since 2012.

The nostalgic momentum continued with staples of their early career — My My, NoNoNo and It Girl, one of the biggest surprises that came with the revelation of The Origin’s setlist as it was last performed in 2011. By including all these hidden masterpieces that have not graced concert stages for such a long time, it felt like a time capsule had been opened, everyone had been instantly transported back to the golden era of the early 2010’s.

The performances transitioned into an interactive segment during Lovely Day and Wishlist, where members came down the stage and walked around the venue to interact with lucky Pandas and distribute pink signed balls. A funny moment emerged when Hayoung accidentally hit a Panda with a signed ball and she immediately rushed forward to hug the fan, turning the mishap into a core memory for the lucky Panda.

Agreen’s Debut

A highlight of the evening was the transition from Apink’s early hits to their more sophisticated discography, bridged by a hilarious VCR skit titled “What if Apink were a boy group?”. The VCR showcased the members introducing themselves as a new boy group, Agreen. The members dressed up as young boys and swapped personas with each other — Chorong as the main vocalist of Agreen Park Cheol-yong, Bomi as the maknae (youngest) of the group Yoon Boo-seok, Eunji the main rapper, Namjoo as the leader Kim Nam-ja and Hayoung as the main dancer Oh Ha-ram.

Agreen then made their “debut” on stage donning sharp black suits and ties, performing a powerful cover of TVXQ’sMirotic. Their sophisticated charisma, a stark contrast to their signature cutesy and feminine image, showcased a different side of their stage presence and sent the crowd into a frenzy. Continuing with this theme, Apink (or should I say Agreen?) delivered sleek performances from their mature and chic eras — Fizzy Soda and a mash-up of Nothing and Red Carpet

Concept Queens

During the Ment (talk segment), the members held a playful popularity poll by asking, “Who likes Agreen’s concept?” and “Who likes Apink’s concept?” To no surprise, both questions were met with thunderous screams. Chorong, still going along with the concept of Agreen, quipped humorously, “Our next stage is a cover of our Apink seniors!” Apink then dove straight into %% (Eung Eung), Dilemma and I’m So Sick.

Pandas were treated to a second VCR, a humorous cosplay segment where the members dressed up as various pop culture characters such as Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Zootopia, Glinda and Elphaba from Wicked and Varang from Avatar 3. One of the funniest highlights from the VCR has got to be when Varang (cosplayed in striking detail by Hayoung) danced to NoNoNo in a Na’vi cave.

Another standout moment that had the whole arena chuckling was their brilliant parody of the memorable Sloth scene in Zootopia. The members stood in line as different characters of Zootopia, queueing to enter an Apink concert. However, Flash the Sloth (cosplayed by Chorong) was manning the concert registration counter and cracked everyone up with her agonising slow pace of speaking.

Iconic Hits One After Another

Apink then returned to the stage for a run of legendary hits starting with LUV and Mr. Chu. The arena erupted for HUSH, which had not been performed in nearly a decade! The energy peaked when Bomi invited everyone to stand up and the fanchants were resounding for these beloved fan-favourites.

Another standout moment was when Namjoo announced that the next song on the setlist was a Singapore-exclusive remix of one of their songs. Imagine the surprise and excitement of every Panda when they broke away from their usual setlist to perform Remember. They followed up with their latest comeback title track, Love Me More, before they finally ended the main set with their fan-dedicated ballad The Wave

“If we have the chance, I really hope that we can come back to Singapore in less than a year this time. Till then, you will not forget us and will continue cheering for us like this, right?” Bomi shared in her ending Ment.

Namjoo also nearly moved Pandas to tears when she revealed that she prepared a long speech for Pandas entirely in English. “I really really love Singapore. Everytime we come here for a concert, I get so excited. It’s because of the beautiful scenery and amazing food and most of all (most importantly), you! Our lovely and passionate fans,” she shared.

Ending on a High Note

The evening’s final VCR offered a sentimental look back at Apink’s 15 years of memories. The members were filmed individually stepping into a room filled with nostalgic photos and fan letters. The segment tugged at the heartstrings of everyone in the audience as several members became visibly emotional talking about how much Apink and Pink Pandas meant to them. They shared that it was not easy and they all had to really put in a lot of effort to protect Apink as a group. This was really a strong a testament to their unshakable bond and immense love for the group.

For the encore, Apink re-emerged with an emotional ballad from their latest album, Hold My Hand. The emotional mood lifted after they transitioned into a vibrant performance of Sunshine and the night finally drew to a close with Sky High, ending the concert on an electrifying high note.

The 3-hour concert was a beautiful trip down the memory lane. From stages that have not been performed since the early 2010’s, chaotic antics on stage and emotional moments that left us all teary-eyed, the evening was truly an emotional rollercoaster. Celebrating 15 years together is a massive feat but seeing their genuine bond and love for Pink Pandas in person, it is clear that this is only the beginning of many more anniversaries to come. Till next time, Apink!
