[SINGAPORE] Airens Spend a Day with Their Favourite Vagabond Lee Seung Gi

Lee Seung Gi took Singapore by storm last Saturday evening when he came down for his “Vagabond Voyage Asia Fan Meeting Tour 2019 in Singapore”. An all-rounder; the talented Lee Seung Gi is not only known for his acting, but also for his beautiful singing voice as well. Fans in Singapore got the opportunity to catch Lee Seung Gi in the flesh for the first time since he last came! However, his popularity knows no boundaries. There were a lot of Airens (Lee Seung Gi’s official fan club name) from different parts of the world who had travelled here just to have a chance to catch a glimpse of him in Singapore! A lot of fan support could be seen outside the venue, which were not only prepared by Airens in Singapore, but also Airens from overseas.

Capturing Hearts as the Ballad Prince

When Lee Seung Gi first appeared on the stage, he was all decked up in white from head to toe. His clear and beautiful voice reverberated throughout the entire venue, as he serenaded the audience with “Because You’re My Girl”. It was his debut song from his very first album titled “The Dream of a Moth”. There was no questioning why he was dubbed the “Ballad Prince”!

Afterwards, Lee Seung Gi attempted to introduce himself in Singlish (Singaporean-English), which was hilarious and cute at the same time. He had a little chat with the host, during which the audience got to know more about Lee Seung Gi and the current Netflix K-drama he is starring in, “Vagabond”.

During the filming of the “Vagabond” in Morocco, local Airens there got together to prepare food and drinks as fan support. A location manager who had worked for the “Bond” series was amazed, as he had never seen anything like that before!

When asked about his kiss scene with Suzy in “Vagabond”, Lee Seung Gi cheekily commented that if he were to kiss Suzy the way people kiss in real life, the scene would not have been aired!

Of course, the concert would not have been complete without Lee Seung Gi treating the fans to more songs of his, such as “Return” and “Smile Boy”.

Showing Love by Making Snack Boxes for Lucky Airens

Everyone was caught off-guard when Lee Seung Gi said that he was going to cook live onstage and give away his handmade snack box during a segment called “DATE with Fan”. A table full of ingredients, kitchen tools, as well as pots and pans. There was even an induction cooker, which meant that the charming actor was certainly not kidding when he said that he was going to cook for a lucky fan!

He made Korean-style toasts, and prepared omelette on the spot using everything available to him at that moment. Stomachs were growling as the smell of the fried omelette lingered in the air, making fans wish that they were the ones to win the toasts. In the end, Seung Gi ended up with two sets of delicious-looking toasts to give away, which meant that another lucky fan was able to receive the snack box he had made with all his heart!

Having Fun with Airens on the Stage

For the first game segment, Lee Seung Gi had to succeed in throwing a mini basketball through a hoop ten times for fans to stand a chance to win ten autographed posters! And succeed he did! Afterwards, he was given the honour of picking the ten lucky fans who would be receiving the posters personally autographed by him.

During another more interactive game segment, ten lucky fans were invited up on the stage and split into two groups. It was a challenging game which required a little bit of “telepathy”. Seung Gi had to stand between the two groups, with huge boards as partitions between him and each team. Each player in each team had to guess which one of the two actions shown on the screen would be chosen and re-enacted by Seung Gi. As long as the team member correctly guessed the action which would be re-enacted by Seung Gi, that team member was able to stay and play for the next round till she gets the wrong answer. The losing team did not go back empty-handed though, and was presented with autographed posters, while members of the winning team received a goodie bag each!

Not only is he a great actor and singer, but Lee Seung Gi is a respected host and entertainer who has been working hard and maintaining good relations with the people around him. Lee Seung Gi’s years of experience in the industry and talent have amassed him his large fanbase of loyal fans, who wish to see him succeed for years to come. We do hope to see more of him in upcoming dramas, variety shows and movies, and we wish him all the best with his future endeavours! Do catch “Vagabond” on Netflix if you’ve not watched it yet!
