[PHILIPPINES] Yugyeom Electrifies Fans with Energy in ‘Trusty’ Show in Manila

There is no better way to wrap up the long weekend than with an unforgettable night of excitement and joy—an experience Filipino Ahgases savored wholeheartedly as Yugyeom swept their feet off in the Manila leg of his TRUSTY tour on November 3, 2024 at SM North EDSA Skydome.

From his early Soundcloud days and crafting some of GOT7‘s most iconic tracks, to now thriving in his solo career, Yugyeom is truly basking in the limelight. This concert marked his triumphant return to the Manila stage, following his first solo concert in August 2022, and showcased just how brightly he continues to shine.

The 26-year-old singer prepared a carefully-crafted setlist with a mix of tracks from his EP and album, Point of View: U and Trust Me. As the green lights faded and the stage began to glow, the buzzing crowd felt the anticipation in the air. Yugyeom opened the concert with When U Fall and Running through the Rain, setting the tone of the night with his incredible vocals and performance.

The AOMG singer didn’t give the fans any second to relax as he quickly ramped up the energy with tracks, Lolo, Wooyayaya, Fine, Take You Down and All Your Fault. “You guys are my light, everyday and all time,” Yugyeom said bashfully after being the receiving end of hearty cheers.

As the set progressed, Yugyeom’s dynamic performance of songs, Be Alright, She, Dance, Shine, One Minute, Steppin, and Wuh had the fans stand up from their seats to vibe and dance, creating a remarkable experience for everyone. Amidst the show, the screen lit up with a special VCR with one of the questions asked, “As an artist, what direction do you want to move in the future?”

Yugyeom answered thoughtfully: “I’d like to be an artist who continuously improves. [I want people to think] I’ve improved this much this time, so how much will he improve next time? I want to be an artist who will make others wonder. Someone who won’t disappoint fans.” Undoubtedly, Yugyeom didn’t disappoint. He went above and beyond the entire night.

One of the highlights of the show were the fan-favourite hits, Summer Blues, La Sol Mi, and Be Alright, each note and lyric charged with emotion, making the crowd respond with equal fervor. Yugyeom, in return, never once stopped expressing his appreciation towards the Ahgases who came to share the energy with him.

“I’m so impressed,” Yugyeom exclaimed, pointing out the crowd’s infectious energy as they sang and danced to his songs. But that’s not the extent of Filipino fans’ energy. To make the night more memorable, they surprised their favorite artist with a heartwarming birthday celebration, complete with a special video presentation, birthday cake, and a huge banner.

“Thank you so much for giving me your precious time,” the GOT7 maknae said in his last talking segment. “Though I can’t express it through words, I’ll make sure that I’ll improve every time so that you could be proud of me. More and more next level.”

Just as everyone thought the concert was ending, the cheers became louder than ever with lit-up Ahgabongs up in the air when Yugyeom serenaded everyone with 1+1, from GOT7’s fourth studio album, Breath of Love : Last Piece. The ultimate dancing machine rode out to the high of the energy until the end with the ever iconic Hard Carry of GOT7, making fans jump from their seats and aching for more.

If there’s one thing that Yugyeom proved in his Trusty tour, it’s that his incredible showmanship is a testament of his next-level artistry— and we can’t wait to see more of it as he continues to grow and bloom, much like a field of dandelions!

This unforgettable night wouldn’t have been possible without Three Angles Production. We are grateful for the media invite and the opportunity to be part of the event!
