[PHILIPPINES] The Rose Paints Manila Red in Recent ‘We Rose You’ Concert

They say that the concert crowd in Manila is really something that any artist wouldn’t want to miss out on. Luckily, the talented boys of The Rose got to experience what it’s like to play in Manila, surrounded by their Filipino Black Roses who have been waiting for them for such a long time.

Held in a small yet intimate space of the Samsung Hall at SM Aura, The Rose got straight into business and made every individual’s heart melt with emotionally beautiful songs such as ‘I.L.Y’ and ‘Insomnia’. We must say, the quality of music and vocals these boys posses makes the studio versions of their songs shake in its boots. They followed it with ‘I Don’t Know You’ and a crowd favorite, ‘Candy (So Good)’.

Time for the feels to really settle in as The Rose got everyone singing along ‘Beautiful Girl’ and their second single, ‘Like We Used To’. After the upbeat tunes of ‘California’, believe us when we say that legit tears were shed while everyone was singing along to ‘She’s in the Rain’.

One of the things that made this concert special was they also let their fans all over the world hear their most iconic song covers. The segment started with a toned-down version of Lany’s ‘ILYSB’ followed by their rendition of ‘Breakeven’ by The Script. Did you know that The Script actually noticed the band’s cover of their hit?

The Rose didn’t fail to give respect to the legendary band The Beatles by signing ‘Hey Jude’.

Then it was time for the members to shine! Dojoon chose his guitar and warm vocals as his company when he performed his cover of the classic James Bay song ‘Hold Back The River’. Hajoon and Jaehyeong’s vocals came through with the heartwarming song ‘Soldier’ by Before You Exit.

Woosung definitely knows how to make the crowd scream! He made the venue feel his distinct charm as he rode solo with his own songs ‘MOON’ and ‘FACE’. Yes, we like your face too, sir!

Shot! Shot! Everyone screamed along to ‘Photographer’. And suddenly, with no context at all, Woosung screamed “Sana all” which made everyone scream and ask where he learned the catchy Tagalog phrase. They then performed their hit song ‘BABY’.

The Rose didn’t fail to end the concert with a bang as they gave all of their energy into performing ‘Take Me Down’ and ‘Red’.

The concert has concluded but one thing is for sure, The Rose definitely has an undeniable charm that will just make you crave more of their music and individuality.

The Rose, we definitely rose you and will continue to rose you until you comeback to Manila with another beautifully wild musical experience that is fired with pure love and passion.
