With the sun shining brightly and the soft summer breeze from Manila Bay coming in, it truly was a good day at the beautiful Grand Sunset Pavilion of the Sofitel Philippine Plaza last June 21, 2019, where Park Bo Gum went on to greet members of the media and some lucky fans ahead of his fanmeeting.
There was no need for a translator as Bo Gum spoke in flawless English, impressing everyone in the room. The actor shared that this was actually his third time in the country; the first time was when he was acting in the 2013 drama ‘Wonderful Mama’ and the second time was during the reward vacation for the cast and crew of the 2016 hit ‘Love in the Moonlight’. Bo Gum also mentioned that the Philippines is where he went snorkeling for the first time, which is why the country will always be memorable for him.
When asked about which character that he has previously played he can relate to the most, Bo Gum answered that there is not one character that he can think of because all of them are very precious to him, adding that every character he has played has something in common with him and that there are also a lot of things that he learned and want to emulate from them.
With an impressive filmography under his belt, Bo Gum went on to talk about his upcoming film ‘Seo Bok’ where he plays the titular character of a human clone who has the secret to eternal life. Bo Gum shared that he’s happy to work alongside amazing sunbaes (seniors) like Gong Yoo and Jo Woo Jin, which are also actors that he admires.
Despite it being his third time in the Philippines, Bo Gum said that this would be the first time for him to meet his Filipino fans. In his closing message, Bo Gum went on to say, “Thank you so much for your support, love, and blessings. Let’s have fun tomorrow [at the fanmeet] and let’s create good memories together.”
