[PHILIPPINES] NCT DoJaeJung Talks About Their Mini Album, Future Plans, and More at Media Conference

The freshest and newest sub-unit of NCT127, composed of members Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo, performed at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last June 24, 2023 for NCT DoJaeJung‘s Scented Symphony: Perfume Fan Concert.

A day after their fan concert, a media conference was held at the Glorietta Activity Center where the boys of NCT DoJaeJung talked about their latest mini album, their future plans as a sub-unit, and more!

The whole mall was brimming with Filipino NCTzens‘ loud cheers as soon as the trio took the stage.

When asked about their future plans for NCT, both Jaehyun and Jungwoo answered that they want to perform more stages and possibly hold concerts, if given the chance.

The boys have been to Manila several times already and it’s no surprise that they keep coming back! “The reason why we keep going back to the Philippines is because of the fans’ warm welcome and energy. This kind of memory makes us want to come back more,” Jaehyun said.

The boys also mentioned that working together as a sub-unit gave them the chance to get to know each other a little bit better. “Doyoung treats me to delicious food and is very caring towards me, Jaehyun, on the other hand, is very detail-oriented and he calls me everyday,” Jungwoo shared.

Jaehyun looked at the other two members before answering: “Doyoung likes to swim. When we were on our way here, he asked us if we brought our swimming attire. Meanwhile for Jungwoo, he really enjoys trying local food wherever we go.”

Last but definitely not the least, Doyoung answered, “Jaehyun and Jungwoo are really good singers. Through their music as DJJ, I saw how this kind of music suited them really well.”

When asked about their Filipino fans, Jaehyun said that the flavor vanilla reminds him of them. DJJ also recommended their song Strawberry Sunday for all their fans, given that they had their media conference on a Sunday!

Before ending the short catch-up with DJJ, Doyoung thanked their fans for coming to their fan meeting and their media conference. “If you continue to give us these loud cheers, it will allow us to come back here more often!” he said. 

Jaehyun once said, “In every opportunity we have, we’ll always be ready to come back.” And, as always, Filipino NCTzens will also be ready to welcome them!
