Queens of viral videos! It is undeniable that Momoland has conquered the social media by storm when they released their hit track ‘Bboom Bboom‘, which you can still hear almost everywhere, followed by another addicting track ‘BAAM‘.
Members Daisy, Taeha, JooE, Nancy, Hyebin, Ahin, and Jane (members Yeonwoo and Nayun were absent) had a pretty hectic schedule in the country as they appeared as a guest in various events, were a part of a parade in Vigan, Ilocos Norte, and preformed at one of the most watched noontime shows in the Philippines, “It’s Showtime”!
Momoland is indeed one of the hottest groups as the media went crazy as soon as the group were called in. They didn’t fail to show appreciation to the country’s culture as they expressed their excitement with every single opportunity they get. Aside from the parade in Vigan, they also mentioned how much the locals welcomed them.
When asked about the Filipino words they’ve learned upon their one-week stay in the Philippines, they cutely answered “Mahal kita (I love you)“, “Salamat po (Thank you)“, and “Cute ako (I am cute)“, which earned laughter and smiles from the crowd present at the event.
They didn’t fail to convery their feelings about their immense popularity in the country. “I am overwhelmed,” Jane said. “It’s our second visit but we’re still received warmly.“ Hyebin mentioned that maybe their music may became a viral hit in the Philippines because it’s fun. She added, “We hope that we present more exciting music [in the future].“
Regarding their Manila fanmeeting next year, Daisy gushed that they are preparing to show performances that their Merries (official fanclub) have not seen before and that 2019 will surely be a year filled with wonderful news for their supporters!
Momoland is scheduled to return to Manila on January 25 to perform at their fanmeeting at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Tickets are now on sale via Ticketnet. The Seoul Story would like to thank DnM Entertainment for inviting us to the press conference. For more HQ photos, check it out here! 🙂
