Neon lights and a sea of hyped PH Dreamers met DPR at The Festival Tent, Alabang last November 30! PH Dreamers were up for a wholesome treat as the entire DPR gang made their highly anticipated Manila debut.
Known for its multi-genre music, Dream Perfect Regime, more commonly known as DPR, is a Seoul-based independent label that was formed in 2015. The collective’s DPR LIVE, DPR IAN, DPR CREAM, and the whole gang made sure that they gave their Filipino fans the unique experience of their most-awaited Manila concert.
Still on PCD mode, PH Dreamers? Let’s look back at the highlights of DPR’s first-ever concert in Manila:
DPR CREAM
DPR CREAM knows what a banger show is and had the whole crowd jumping with his laptop, keyboards, and party neon lights! He started off the show by playing live music with catchy beats to get the whole crowd dancing. His set featured instrumental versions of tracks from The Voyager 737 like Color Drive and Problems.
DPR LIVE
Most people would say that the Manila crowd is something that any artist wouldn’t want to miss out on. That’s probably what DPR LIVE and the PH Dreamers have something in common!
DPR LIVE, also known by the fans as Hong Da-bin, had everyone jumping and singing along as soon as he entered the stage with his first song Legacy in a bright orange techwear costume. A giant inflatable astronaut joined him on stage during S.O.S and Neon.
He also performed hits from his first album to the recent ones including Thirst, Laputa, Summer Tight, Text Me— and crowd favorites Martini Blue, Jasmine, Yellow Cab, and Jam and Butterfly.
In between his performance of VENUS, DPR LIVE threw roses to the crowd. During his ment, he revealed that his first crush was a Filipina while he lived in Guam as a kid. He also promised PH Dreamers that they will come back again to Manila.
To end his set, DPR CLINE joined him on stage to perform Set It Off, a song they released this year in anticipation of the 2022 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitation (MSI).
DPR IAN
DPR IAN goes far beyond just making music. The singer-songwriter, videographer and creative director takes an intimate and immersive visual and emotional experience all throughout his setlist.
Starting with a dramatic entrance, DPR IAN arrived like a dark fallen angel and kicked off his set with So Beautiful and Dope Lovers. He didn’t let the fans down as his stages were all visually captivating— from the VCRs, stage props, and lights that goes so well with every song.
The crowd sang along as he performed Nerves, Ballroom Extravaganza, Miss Understood, Mr. Insanity, Winterfall, and Sometimes I’m.
During his ment, DPR IAN opens up about his struggles being in the spotlight. He shares that he was scared of a lot of things but he was able to slowly build his confidence through music.
To cap off his last set, DPR IAN invited DPR LIVE back onstage to perform their song No Blueberries before the encore.
DPR WE GANG GAAANG! The DPR gang didn’t fail to end the night with a bang as they gave all their energy into performing To Myself. We hope to see the whole gang back in Manila next tour!
