[PHILIPPINES] iKON’s ‘Get Back’ in Manila Concert: An Epic Farewell Party Before Their Military Break

Sensational South Korean boy band iKON held their 2024 iKON LIMITED TOUR – GET BACK IN MANILA concert last April 7, 2024 at the Araneta Coliseum, their last hurrah with Filipino iKONICs before the members fulfil their mandatory military service.

From the moment the lights dimmed and the crowd erupted into a deafening roar, it was evident that this show was more than just another concert — it was a celebration of the memories the group had created with their beloved fans thus far, and a promise that this would not be the last one they would make together.

The stage came to life as Song, Bobby, DK, Ju-ne, and Chan burst onto the scene with their trademark charisma and boundless energy. The setlist showcased the group’s greatest hits, spanning their illustrious nine-year career and demonstrating their tremendous growth as artists.

The members kicked off the show with a sequence of energetic performances, including Tantara, SINOSIJAK, KILLING ME, and BLING BLING, with the crowd singing along to every syllable in true Filipino fashion.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an iKON concert without their 2018 smash hit Love Scenario. Other crowd favourites include U, RHYTHM TA, BUT YOU, DUMB & DUMBER, and GOODBYE ROAD, among others.

DK showcased his flair with solo renditions of LTNS and Groovin, while Song proved his showmanship with It’s call. Afterwards, Ju-ne serenaded iKONICs with the mellow Want You Back, his solo song from their latest full-length album, TAKE OFF.

Just hours before the concert started, 143 Entertainment, the agency representing iKON, confirmed the enlistment dates for two of the members. Chan will be enlisting on May 27, while Bobby — who was first reported to enlist on May 21 — will head off to the military on June 4. Jay, the group’s leader, has been carrying out his military duties since July of last year.

iKON’s send-off concert was indeed a bittersweet night for both the group and their fans as it would be a while before they have the chance to see each other again. But every lyric sung and fanchant roared was full of hope and promise, and iKON definitely poured their heart and soul into giving iKONICs the best farewell party.

The Seoul Story would like to thank CDM Entertainment for the media invite.
We wish the members a safe military service and we’re excited to see iKON in Manila again soon!
