Korean actor Hwang In Youp delighted fans in Manila during the latest stop of his In Love fan meeting tour last January 25, 2025 at the New Frontier Theater. The event marked his much-anticipated return to the Philippines, a country he holds close to his heart.

This is not Hwang In Youp’s first time in the Philippines. The 34-year-old actor previously shared that he spent four years in Davao, where he studied and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design. “I lived in Davao before, and I haven’t been back since. I really want to visit again,” he said during the event.

The actor also expressed his love for Filipino food, mentioning his favorites like sinigang, lechon, and halo-halo. “I even looked for kwek-kwek today, but I couldn’t find it,” he shared with a smile, showing his familiarity with local street food.

Known for his unique habit of photographing fans during events, Hwang In Youp explained his thoughtful gesture. “At the airport, so many fans welcomed me. I like taking pictures because it’s a way to remember their energy and excitement. It’s my way of showing them how much I appreciate their support,” he said.

During the fan meet, the actor was playful and charming as he responded to fan comments about how well he suits school uniforms, a nod to his roles in True Beauty and 18 Again. “Fans always tell me I look good in school uniforms.
