[PHILIPPINES] Fueled by Finger Hearts and Filipino Cheers: Kiss of Life Sets Manila Ablaze with Love

The energy was electric, the crowd unstoppable, and the love undeniable as K-pop girl group Kiss of Life ignited the stage at the UP Theater for the Manila stop of their Kiss Road tour. It was more than just a concert—it was a night that felt like a shared celebration between idols and fans.

“This car we’re driving—what keeps it running?” asked group leader Julie during a quick breather onstage. “What keeps us running?” she added, flashing a smile to the crowd. The answer, as the girls quickly concluded, was simple: “Kissys’ love, cheers, and screams.” And the Manila crowd delivered all three in waves.

From the moment the lights dimmed and the members entered through the aisles, the audience was on their feet. Their entrance flowed seamlessly into the explosive Get Loud, a track that set the tone for the rest of the night—high-energy, fierce, and fun.

Pure Performance, Raw Connection

Unlike the grand visuals and massive set pieces common in K-pop productions, Kiss Road Manila kept things refreshingly simple. With minimal background props, all eyes stayed on Julie, Natty, Belle, and Haneul as they danced, sang, and interacted with fans in an intimate space that made every moment feel personal.

Vocally, the group didn’t hold back. Belle’s powerful high notes and adlibs shone on tracks like Bad News and Nobody Knows, while the group’s R&B-rooted sound was front and center throughout. Their performance of Te Quiero brought Latin flair and fan-assisted choreography, while unreleased gem Winehouse—a nod to Amy Winehouse offered fans a rare sneak peek into what’s next.

Fans were especially loud during No One But Us, when the members stepped off stage and made their way around the theater, blurring the line between performer and audience. It was a highlight that left many reaching for their phones and even more just soaking in the moment.

Solo Stages, All Heart

Each member took a solo spotlight that showcased their unique colors. Belle opened the segment with her powerful ballad Countdown, revealing a more vulnerable side. Julie turned up the heat with her bold performance of Kitty Cat, while Haneul kept things sweet and playful in Play Love Games, complete with pom-poms and cheerleader energy.

Natty, dressed in sleek streetwear, closed the solos with a confident, groove-filled take on Sugarcoat. “I was nervous,” she confessed mid-show. “Back in Seoul, I had backup dancers. But tonight, it was just me and your energy.”

A Night to Remember

Of course, no Kiss of Life concert would be complete without Sticky, their summer anthem that got the loudest sing-along of the night. With Afrobeat rhythms and a cheeky performance, it left the theater bouncing.

As the night drew to a close with fan favorites Midas Touch and debut track Shhh, emotions ran high. “This stage feels complete because of all of you,” Haneul said, visibly moved. Natty added, “Every happy moment we’ve had—Kissys were always there.”

And in the end, it was Julie who summed it up best: “We’ll keep running as long as you keep calling.” Kiss of Life later posted on X, thanking their Filipino fans for a night to remember:

“Sharing laughs, singing together, and hearing your cheers gave us so much energy… Mahal namin kayo.” From start to finish, Kiss Road in Manila was less of a performance and more of a heartfelt exchange—one powered by the endless love of Kissys, and one the girls promised they’d run back to anytime.
