March 22, 2025, was a night to remember for BOYNEXTDOOR and their Filipino fans. Marking their much-awaited first concert in the Philippines, the boys brought the Knock On Volume 1 Tour to Manila, following a series of sold-out performances across Seoul and Japan. The atmosphere was electric as fans gathered to witness the group’s magnetic stage presence and undeniable talent.

A Showcase of Musical Mastery
BOYNEXTDOOR’s reputation as self-producing all-rounders was on full display, with performances that perfectly captured the emotional highs and lows of youth. From the explosive energy of hits like Earth, Wind & Fire, Dangerous, and But I Like You, to the soul-stirring ballads Call Me and Crying, the setlist had the entire arena singing along in unison.
Staying true to their musical identity, the group opted to perform the original versions of their songs rather than remixes. Leader Jaehyun expressed his desire for fans to experience the tracks as they were meant to be heard. Notably, their use of handheld microphones throughout the concert highlighted their impeccable live vocals. The emotional peak came during But Sometimes, as Sungho and Riwoo’s soaring notes left the crowd in awe.

Embracing the Filipino Spirit
The boys made an effort to connect with their Filipino fans on a personal level, endearing themselves to the audience with their charming attempts at speaking Tagalog. Woonhak had fans roaring with laughter when he confidently declared, “Masarap ba?” (“Is it delicious?”) as he playfully asked for food recommendations.
Leehan’s cheerful “Kumain na kayo?” (“Have you eaten?”) brought warmth to the arena, while Jaehyun’s heartfelt “Mahal ko kayo” (“I love you all”) earned resounding cheers. The boys even expressed their curiosity about local delicacies like adobo and halo-halo, promising to try them soon. Adding to the moment, Taesan proudly showed off his souvenir keychains that read “I Love Manila,” a token of his affection for the city.

A Heartfelt Exchange of Love
Just as BOYNEXTDOOR poured their hearts into each performance, One Doors returned the love tenfold. From synchronized fan chants to harmonized sing-alongs, the fans proved themselves as the group’s greatest supporters. In a particularly touching moment, a surprise video tribute featuring heartfelt messages and fan art brought tears to Jaehyun’s eyes. “Your support gives us strength every day,” he shared, his fellow members offering him comfort.
As the concert drew to a close, the boys performed their final song, So Let’s Go See the Stars, waving to the sea of lightsticks illuminating the Araneta Coliseum. Promising to return with new music, they left the stage only to be greeted by an overwhelming encore chant. Returning for one last performance of their emotional track If I Say, I Love You, BOYNEXTDOOR ensured that the night ended on a memorable note.

Until We Meet Again
Knock On Vol 1 in Manila was a testament to BOYNEXTDOOR’s dedication to their craft and their ever-growing bond with ONEDOORs. Though the night may have ended, the memories created will last a lifetime. With promises of more music and future visits, fans can only eagerly anticipate the next chapter in this beautiful journey.
