South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer and record producer, B.I (a.k.a Kim Han Bin), performed in front of his Filipino fans for his L.O.L. The Hidden Stage concert in Manila last March 5, 2023 at the PICC Plenary Hall.
B.I returned to the Philippines after just seven months, following a fan meeting held at the New Frontier Theater last August 2022.
B.I. kicked off his concert with his songs BTBT, Waterfall, Alive, Flame, and Lover. With his calming voice, energetic dance moves, and his commanding stage presence, he won the hearts of Filipino IDs.
The award-winning producer gave his all for the songs Gray and Remember Me, to which the entire audience sang along. Then, he performed two more tracks: Got It Like That, a song he collaborated with Destiny Rogers and Tyla Yaweh, and Daydream, a song he collaborated with Lee Hi.
B.I began to walk around the venue and interacted with most of his Filipino fans while singing his songs Tangerine and Nerd.
Before welcoming the guest for the night, B.I. sang the crowd-favourite song Stay. Afterwards, Filipino-Australian singer-songwriter, record producer, and record label executive James Reid joined him on stage. The two artists shared that they first met at a The Rose concert, and B.I’s concert was their second time seeing each other. When B.I asked James which Filipino food he should try, James recommended balut, a traditional street food in the Philippines made out of egg embryo that’s boiled or steamed and then eaten from the shell.
Moving on to the second half of his concert, B.I. performed his songs Illa Illa, Endless Summer, Middle With You, Keep Me Up, Numb, Nineteen, and another crowd favourite, Cosmos.
B.I prepared a lot of performances for his fans, and Filipino IDs definitely did not disappoint with the energy they showed during the concert. After B.I performed Then, Re-birth, Illusion, and lastly, One and Only, IDs surprised him with a touching fan-made VCR to which he was very thankful for.
To end the night, he went around the venue to greet more of his fans while playing some of his unreleased songs (which may potentially be included in his next album) and another round of Cosmos for the encore.
It was truly an unforgettable night for B.I and his Filipino IDs, and although everyone was sad about the night ending, B.I gave us something to look forward to: He promised that he’ll be back very soon with his new album. ❤️
The Seoul Story would like to extend a big thank you to Three Angles Production for sending us an invite! We hope to see B.I in Manila again soon. 🙂
