Red Velvet, BTOB, Girls’ Generation and Super Junior proved to the Filipino KPOP fans that they really are the Best of Best as the performed live at a new and bigger venue in the country, the Philippine Arena.
Even before the concert, the KPOP lovers can already feel the excitement with all the activity and food booths outside the arena where they had the chance to join some contests and spazz along with their friends and fellow fans.
Red Velvet shows Manila their sweet charm
As their name implies, the five girls of Red Velvet proved to everyone at the arena that they are adorable, sweet and full of charm. Being the first timers in the Philippines, they made sure that their fans would enjoy their very first time together by showing us their energetic side. The girls were all smiles as they performed their songs like ‘Ice Cream Cake’, ‘Somethin Kinda Crazy’, ‘Candy’ and their debut single ‘Happiness’.
Before leaving the stage, the girls thanked the fans for coming to see them and welcoming them warmly. They also grabbed the chance to tell how happy they all are to be performing in the Philippines.
BTOB sets the stage on fire
The six guys of BTOB show their Melodies their charisma as they performed in the Philippines for the second time. As soon as the boys appeared on stage and performed ‘Thriller’, the fans started showing the boys how much they missed them by cheering for them loudly. The screams got even louder when Hyunsik suddenly screamed “Mahal kita! (I love you!)” out of nowhere.
They then showed their boyish charms while performing ‘Irresistible Lips’, ‘Lover Boy’, ‘2nd Confession’, ‘The Winter’s Tale’ and ‘Beep Beep’. They then went back to their sexy charisma as they performed their last song ‘Wow’. BTOB left the stage with a message of how honored they are to have performed in the country again.
The Goddesses, Girls’ Generation, awe us for the second time around
The members of Girls’ Generation were up next! Wearing their pink dresses, they opened their stage with ‘Mr. Taxi’ followed by their hit song ‘Genie’. They each greeted their fans with warm smiles and cheerful attitudes. They also mentioned how happy they are to be able to perform in the Philippines again and how much they’ve missed their Filipino SONES. They even teased the audience by performing a snippet of their new song ‘Catch Me If You Can’.
They then continued their performance with ‘Hoot’, ‘Gee’, ‘Kissing You’, ‘Complete’, and ‘Mr. Mr’. They then promised the audience that they will be back and thanked them for all the screams and energy they’ve given the girls.
The emperors of KPOP go back to the Philippines for their Sapphire Blue Ocean
Super Junior was last but absolutely not the least. As soon as the silhouettes of the eight members were seen at the stage, the crowd began screaming and waving their light sticks to create a Sapphire Blue Ocean. The boys started off by performing ‘Shirt’ and then followed by the sexiness of the song ‘This Is Love’.
They showed the crowd that they are really the kings of fan-service by making sure that the audience are happy throughout the ment. Kyuhyun even made the fangirls squeal by greeting calling them “my Philippine baby”. They kept on saying “Mabuhay” and “Mahal kita” that continuously delighted the fans. Kyuhyun awed the crowd by singing his single ‘At Gwanghwamun’ and Donghae and Eunhyuk made them dance by performing ‘Oppa Oppa’.
They then wrapped up their stage with the last songs ‘Mr. Simple’ and ‘Mamacita’ which earned a loud fanchant from the ELF. The boys thanked all the fans for screaming crazily and stated that their number one goal is to make them happy.
The concert ended by leaving the fans with the best feeling ever.
