[MALAYSIA] SHINee Taemin Proves That He is A Stage Genius with ‘Ephemeral Gaze’ Tour

The excitement was palpable as Malaysian TAEMates of K-pop sensation SHINee’s Taemin gathered at the Malawati Indoor Stadium in Shah Alam for the highly anticipated 2024 Taemin World Tour [Ephemeral Gaze] in Kuala Lumpur. The concert, which started at 7 PM, marked Taemin’s first solo tour stop in Malaysia since SHINee’s last performance at the 2015 Formula 1 Grand Prix.

A Long-Awaited Reunion

As the lights dimmed and the opening notes of Taemin’s Deja Vu filled the air, the crowd erupted into cheers and screams of excitement. Taemin appeared on the elevated podium, exuding charisma and confidence, immediately capturing the audience’s attention. followed by the hit track Guilty. The crowd erupted with excitement as he transformed into Advice, showcasing his powerful dance moves.

The concert then continues with a captivating execution of Goodbye (Korean Version), followed by the experimental IDEA where his immaculate dance abilities shone through. His dramatic rendition of Heaven left the crowd speechless, captivated by his theatrical movements. He then continues the concert after outfit change with heartfelt ballads such as I’m Crying, Clockwork and Not Over You. To further express his versatility, he performed the emotional-wrenching The Unknown Sea, followed by the uplifting, Blue.

A Genius Performer

One of the standout moments of the concert was when Taemin performed his latest hits, including Sexy In The Air and The Rizzness. The energy in the venue was at an all-time high as fans sang along to every word, creating a powerful connection between the artist and his audience, especially during Want, Criminal and MOVE.


Throughout the concert, Taemin showcased not only his exceptional vocal abilities but also his unparalleled dance skills through G.O.A.T and Horizon. His flawless choreography and stage presence left the audience in awe, with many fans unable to tear their eyes away from the mesmerizing performance.

Maknae on Top

Taemin wowed the audience with his improved English skills as he engaged in playful banter with his fans, TAEMates. He reminded everyone that while he is now 31 years old, he will always be cherished as the beloved maknae (youngest member) in the hearts of SHAWOLs (SHINee’s fandom name) and TAEMates. In a humorous moment, he mentioned that he usually rips off his clothes during his performance of Guilty. However, he playfully added that he respects the local culture in Malaysia and suggested that fans who want to see that can catch him at other tour stops in different countries.


TAEMates created a heartfelt moment by singing Pansy to call Taemin back on stage. Moved by their gesture, he joined in, singing alongside his Malaysian TAEMates. A touching video tribute from Malaysian TAEMates added to the emotional atmosphere. Taemin’s reaction was priceless when he recognized a familiar face in the video and exclaimed, “I know her!”. His lively response and genuine gratitude melted fans’ hearts as he said, “I should be the one giving presents, but instead I’m the one receiving.”

A Night to Remember

As the concert drew to a close, Taemin delivered a heartwarming encore with Say Less, leaving fans with memories that would surely last a lifetime. The passionate performance, coupled with the undeniable talent of Taemin, solidified his status as a true K-pop soloist.
