[MALAYSIA] ReVeluvs Feel Alive With WENDY At Her First Solo Concert In Kuala Lumpur

Soloist and Red Velvet member WENDY made her first solo visit to Malaysia as part of her W:EALIVE world tour held at Zepp Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, December 20, 2025! After making stops in major cities in Asia and the United States, Kuala Lumpur marked the last stop of the tour for this year.

This was WENDY’s big return to Malaysia after 8 years and her first time appearing as a soloist. Her thorough preparation for the concert was evident in every detail, from the pre-concert playlist and thoughtfully curated setlist to the live band, which elevated the overall performance to another level.

WENDY shared that she shaped the setlist to reflect the emotions she wanted to convey throughout her performances. The opening section embodied the feeling of being alive, as she kicked off the concert with an energetic a cappella rendition of Fireproof ‘s chorus before launching into the full song. Continuing with Hate2^2 and Queen of The Party, the crowd was ready for the night ahead.

WENDY continued with Why Can’t You Love Me, Best Ever and Chapter You, sharing that she wanted to maintain the earlier high energy with heartfelt songs as a way to show her appreciation for the fans who continue to motivate her to sing. She also spoke about wanting to explore Malaysia during her short stay, mentioning iconic spots such as the Petronas Twin Towers and Batu Caves, as well as her excitement to try local favourites like nasi lemak and char kuey teow.

The next section was an emotional one as WENDY sang His Car Isn’t Yours, Better Judgement and Vermillion. This was one of her favourite sets for this concert, particularly because of the general genre that was present here. She then did an outfit change before returning to perform Like Water, When This Rain Stops and Believe. These songs focused on the theme of comfort, which was particularly meaningful as the first 2 songs were from her first solo release back in 2021.

WENDY also showcased her vast OST library, performing several tracks she has contributed over the years, such as Goodbyes (The Beauty Inside), If I Could Read Your Mind (Yumi’s Cells), and Two Words (Start Up). She went on to perform Because I Love You, a song from her SMROOKIE days, Airport Goodbyes, her collaboration with The Black Skirts, and Light Me Up, a Red Velvet track that she described as “one of her must-perform songs”.

WENDY completed the main part of the concert with Wish You Hell and Sunkiss, before returning for an encore with Best Friend and The Road, which she noted was one of her harder songs to sing but she made it seem so effortless. As fans played a video showcasing their love and support for WENDY, complete with a fan banner reading “W;E ALWAYS WITH WENDY,” she returned the gesture by reading a heartfelt letter she had written for them. She expressed her gratitude to everyone who has supported her, both that night and throughout her journey, and shared her wishes for the fans’ happiness in 2026 and beyond.

As she ended her final ment with “See you in 2026!”, WENDY ended the night on a high with Existential Crisis, but not before surprising the fans as she returned with Santa-like outfit for a second encore with Wish You Hell and Sunkiss, the songs that were chosen by the fans, before finally ending the concert.

The 2.5 hour concert was truly one for the books, as WENDY showcased her powerful vocals and immense talent, and provided a safe space that made the fans feel alive when seeing her perform. We hope to see her again in 2026, as promised.
