NCT DREAM is no stranger to Malaysia, having been here numerous times including for their tour THE DREAM SHOW 2: In A DREAM back in May 2023. This time around, the concert was held for two nights, which enabled more NCTzens to come and see the group.

NCT DREAM started off strong with back-to-back high octane tracks: BTTF, Deja Vu, Ridin’, BOOM and their latest comeback Beat It Up. Between each section, a series of VCRs unfolded,  exploring the concert’s ‘space-time’ theme and taking fans through the group’s journey from their debut to their current era.

The show continued on with a sugary surprise as the group went back to their early teenage era, complete with basketball jerseys and a large inflatable basketball as they performed We Young, Dunk Shot, and Candy.

The steady image change of the group was showcased in the next set, as NCT DREAM went with cowboy-inspired costumes when performing Hot Sauce, Diggity, and 1,2,3 before officially greeting the fans. Jaemin noted that he was excited to see the fans greeting them in the airport during their arrival the night before, and urged the fans to have fun until the end. They slowed things down with On the Way, YOU, La La Love, and My Page, as the members went around the stage to interact with the fans.

The next section was not for the faint-hearted, as the group returned to the stage in all-black leather outfits and blindfolds, signalling their transition into a more mature era. They performed Best of Me and STRONGER, sending fans into a frenzy with Jeno and Jaemin’s powerful special dance break. The fan service was amplified during this section as the fans were treated with Jisung, Mark and Jeno doing sexy poses for the fans during their ment.

The night got even better as Renjun showcased his flawless dance moves before performing Moonlight together with the group. They then performed Broken Melodies, Trigger The Fever which got the crowd jumping, and a euphoric finale with Hello Future complete with fans sing-along, closing out the main section of the concert.

Prior to the encore performance, the fans’ sang along to Rainbow as part of their fan project, showing their love for NCT DREAM. The group then went out to perform CHILLER, Off The Wall, and Rocket as part of their encore stage, and fans and members alike were having so much fun as the fans danced and partied along with the tunes of the encore performance.

During the final ment, Chenle praised the fans, saying, “This is the best audience ever!”, which was met with even louder cheers from the crowd. Jaemin echoed the sentiment, recalling the warm airport welcome and sharing that Malaysia is one of his favourite countries to visit, adding that “energy” is the first word that comes to mind when he thinks of the country. Renjun too was touched by the fans’ immense energy and the fan banner event, expressing his gratitude for being part of 7DREAM’s youth together with them.

With a Heavenly performance by the group, Night 1 of the concert came to a close as they said “Terima kasih” (thank you) and bid their final greeting to the fans. Even towards the end, Mark acknowledged the fans’ overflowing energy as he asked “Are you guys even tired?” to the fans, and as the fans cheered, he replied ”That’s what I’m talking about!”.

The concert was a definite success, as the fans were finally able to witness NCT DREAM live again after 2 years, and made precious memories throughout the concert. We wish the group the best and we hope to see them again here in Malaysia soon.
