[MALAYSIA] Lee Jong Suk and Moon Ga Young Bid Farewell to Law and The City at Kuala Lumpur’s Finale Screening

On August 11, 2025, a day after the finale screening event, the main leads of tvN‘s top K-Drama, ‘Law and The City‘, Lee Jong Suk and Moon Ga Young attended a private media event held at Dadi Cinema, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Here, both artists shared more behind-the-scenes stories and personal reflections, giving fans a glimpse into their charming personalities, contrasting preferences, and exciting upcoming projects. On top of that, it marked Malaysia’s very first time hosting a K-drama finale screening and the fans could not have been more thrilled to be part of the action!

Thoughts After the Final Screening

The press conference kicked off with the stars sharing their thoughts on last night’s red carpet and finale screening at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, where thousands of fans were eagerly awaiting for their arrival. It was also their first visit to Malaysia, and they expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome, which went far beyond their expectations. The event then continued smoothly as lucky winners joined them to watch the final episode together.

The stars were then asked what drew them to their roles in Law and The City, a drama where lawyers from different firms unite through work, friendship, and romance. For Lee Jong Suk, portraying Ahn Ju Hyeong was a fresh challenge but a chance to step into a completely new character and have fun experimenting. Meanwhile, Moon Ga Young, who played Kang Hee Ji, confessed that she instantly fell in love with the script. They also revealed a fun behind-the-scenes detail where the food featured in the drama was predetermined, but came with unlimited refills! Lee Jong Suk even teased that he would love to recommend fans to visit the restaurants shown in the series if they find themselves in South Korea, looking for local food.

The conversation shifted to daily work routines, with each of them taking turns to share how they start their day which piqued the audience’s curiosity. Moon Ga Young, who prefers an exciting way to start her day, enjoys listening to her playlist during her commute and shyly revealed her current favourite tracks are from Justin Bieber’s newly released album! Lee Jong Suk, on the other hand, prefers commuting in complete silence, letting his thoughts wander, a habit that perfectly matches his mysterious aura. The discussion then moved to what careers they might have chosen if they were not actors, and both hinted that they were destined to be artists all along.

Leaving Footprints in Hong Kong

Some scenes of Ahn Ju Hyeong and Kang Hee Ji’s romantic moments were filmed in Hong Kong, a vibrant city rich in culture. Both stars fondly recalled it as a wonderful place to visit, thanks to its pleasant weather, dazzling night views, and mouthwatering local food at every corner. Reminiscing about their time there, Lee Jong Suk shared that he enjoyed an unforgettable hot pot meal and promised he would gladly return for another round.

Additionally, fans of Law and The City who happened to travel in Hong Kong shared that they visited the drama’s filming locations, reliving the scenes exactly as they were shown on screen. Both stars agreed there is something truly romantic in that effort and deeply appreciated the love and support fans have shown. They even suggested that including Law and The City’s filming spots in a Hong Kong’s travel itinerary would be a fantastic idea.

The spotlight turned once again to food recommendations, with Malaysia proudly known for its rich culinary scene. The emcee introduced a selection of local dishes for them to try, and the stars listened with eager curiosity. Lee Jong Suk shared that last night he had Haidilao and just thinking about it made him crave another round before leaving.

New Journey Ahead

With back-to-back filming, from My Dearest Nemesis to Law and The City, Moon Ga Young is already working on her upcoming movie set to be released soon, while Lee Jong Suk will be working on another project titled Leonardo. If given the chance, they would love to come again to Malaysia for another screening event.

The press wrapped up with a sweet surprise, a special cake to celebrate their hard work on the drama and their trip to Malaysia for the finale. Lee Jong Suk and Moon Ga Young took the opportunity once more to thank their Malaysia fans for the overwhelming love and support shown for the series.
