[MALAYSIA] Lee Je Hoon Celebrates His 20th Debut Anniversary in [Our 20th Moment] Fanmeeting

South Korean actor Lee Je Hoon made his return to Malaysia for his 20th debut anniversary fan meeting [Our 20th Moment] on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Zepp Kuala Lumpur! This was his second visit after more than a year, and this time it is to celebrate his vast acting journey for the past 20 years.

Since his debut back in 2005, Lee Je Hoon has become a household name across both film and television. He gained recognition through films such as Bleak Night, Architecture 101 and Escape. On the small screen, he is known for the crime thriller Signal which is set to premiere its second season later this year, as well as Move To Heaven, and Taxi Driver, the latter earning him the prestigious Grand Prize (Daesang) at the SBS Drama Awards twice in 2025 and 2023.

The actor surprised fans by opening the fan meeting with a special entrance through the main door, singing Coffee With Me, as he greeted them up close. He then officially introduced himself to the audience, acknowledging his Malaysian nickname “Abang Teksi” (taxi man) earned through his hit drama Taxi Driver.

Looking back on his journey, Lee Je Hoon mentioned that he still can’t believe it has been 20 years since his debut. He credited his fans’ love and support for bringing him to where he is today, thanking them sincerely.

The fan meeting continued with a Q&A session with questions submitted by the fans, where we got to know more about the actor, things like his egg preference (scrambled eggs by the way) and his love for Nasi Lemak and other Malaysian dishes. He even playfully flirts with a fan who asked for his hand in marriage, and recites a Malaysian pick-up line leaving the fans screaming with joy.

The fun didn’t stop there, as Lee Je Hoon kept the energy going by playing games with a few lucky fans. Some took part in a playful staring contest, while others received flower bouquets personally delivered by him.

His fan service was truly on another level, from taking on dance requests to offering advice on fans’ concerns. He even performed a cute aegyo moment to “cure the headache” of one fan, drawing laughter from the crowd.

The final game had lucky fans guessing local dishes as Lee Je Hoon tasted them blindfolded. From nasi lemak and iced tea to curry puffs and Super Ring, he described each flavour while fans tried to guess, making for a fun and interactive moment.

As the event drew to a close, Hoonists (Lee Je Hoon’s fandom name) surprised him with a heartfelt fan video highlighting his journey, along with messages of love and support. They also presented him with a special cake, leaving him visibly touched. He expressed his gratitude, sharing that he is able to live his life as an actor because of his fans.

Before ending the fan meeting, Lee Je Hoon once again thanked everyone for their unwavering support and shared his hopes of filming a drama or movie in Malaysia, a comment that sparked excitement among fans. Promising to return again, he closed the night with a performance of Beautiful before bidding his final goodbye.

As we celebrate Lee Je Hoon’s 20th debut anniversary, this fan meeting created truly meaningful moments for both him and his fans. We look forward to his upcoming projects and hope to welcome him back to Malaysia again soon.
